We have some returning heroes this week: The Undertaker and The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels! I have a feeling Shawn is going to plug his new WWE Studios movie, but The Undertaker being there is a little confusing. We also have a United States Championship match where Roman Reigns will defend in a handicap match against both Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens. Stay tuned, coverage begins at 8 pm est.
PROMO (Backstage): Stephanie is backstage with Mick for his 2016 performance review. She first brings up the "rumor" that The Undertaker will be on Raw. Mick started that rumor, and she is nervous since she saw The Undertaker on SmackDown Live. He says there is no concrete evidence, but he has a good feeling. Then Seth Rollins comes in and says he is entering the Royal Rumble. Then Strowman comes in screaming that he wants Roman or Goldberg tonight or else. This boils down to a brawl between Braun & Seth. Stephanie says that Mick needs to address these rumors, and he is adamant that Taker will be here tonight.
UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Chris Jericho & Kevin Owens
Whichever superstar, be it KO or Y2J, pins Roman Reigns that respective superstar will become the new US Champ. However, I am not counting on any of that happening.
Before this match starts, Braun Strowman makes his way to the ring. He and Reigns brawl outside the ring, and then it makes its way to the ring. Braun, KO, and Y2J all team up on Roman. That brings out Seth Rollins wielding a chair. Roman and Seth both grab chairs and take it to Braun. That brings out Stephanie McMahon. She says that they will have a handicapped match, and it will be later tonight. For now, Braun and Seth will go one on one.
RESULTS: Moved to later in the evening.
THOUGHTS: They didn't really need to do this just to set up Braun vs. Seth, but oh well.

MATCH: Seth Rollins vs. Braun Strowman
RESULTS: Double count out.
THOUGHTS: The double count out seems like a cop out.
After the match Strowman grabs a chair and searches for revenge. Before he can get in the ring he slides in his chair, but Rollins intercepts it. Strowman tries a few times to enter the ring, but Rollins holds him off and Braun leaves.
VIDEO PACKAGE: They play a sneak peak of The Resurrection of Gavin Stone. Shawn Michaels newest movie.

PROMO (Backstage): Bayley and Sasha are backstage talking about how Bayley beat Nia Jax last week to become number one contender for the Raw Women's Championship. Sasha says after she beats Charlotte at the Rumble there should be a little Bayley vs The Boss. Charlotte comes in and says that no one believes she cares about Bayley, and reminds everyone that no one has beat her at a PPV for the title. Then Nia Jax comes in and the assault on both Sasha and Bayley begins. Nia shoves Charlotte against the wall, and then leaves.

MATCH: Jack Gallagher vs. Drew Gulak
RESULTS: Jack Gallagher win via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: I love having Austin Aries on the mic during the cruiserweight matches. I also love Jack Gallagher. So this was great for me.
PROMO (In-Ring): Charly asks Jack about his rivalry with Ariya. Jack says that Ariya is due a beating that WWE has never seen, but being an extraordinary gentlemen he wants to offer an olive branch on 205 Live.

PROMO (Backstage): Mick Foley is backstage asking stagehands if they've seen The Undertaker.. Stephanie comes in and asks if he has found him yet, and Mick says that she needs to trust him. She tells him that he has one hour to get Taker into the middle of the ring, and his entire performance review hinges on it.
PROMO (In-Ring): Its time for The Heartbreak Kid! Shawn says that he misses coming out to the crowd on a regular basis, especially this time of year being Royal Rumble and Road to WrestleMania. The Rumble just happens to be in San Antonio, his hometown. 20 years ago at the Royal Rumble in SA he won the WWE Title. He then pumps up the talent in the Royal Rumble right now, and then the "one more match" chants start. He uses it as an example of how to stand up to peer pressure, and then talks about his new movie coming out. The Resurrection of Gavin Stone coming out January 20th. Then out comes Rusev with Lana & Jinder Mahal. Rusev wants HBK to put Lana in his new movie with CGI, and a "Sweet Chin Music" chant starts. Rusev calls himself the Bulgarian George Clooney, and continues to say that his wife should be in the movie. This brings out Enzo & Big Cass. Enzo is still in the motorized wheel chair, and I can't help but laugh every time he rolls out. Enzo says the realest guy in the room right now is Shawn Michaels, and the two call Lana and the gang "a coupa hatas". Enzo agrees that Lana is a great actress since she has to act like she isn't repulsed by Rusev. Eventually, this boils down to Cass offering a fight to Rusev and Rusev agrees that Cass should have a match.. Against Jinder Mahal. Shawn says that he has nowhere to be until January 20th, so he is going to stick around at ringside for this one.

MATCH: Big Cass (w Enzo & Shawn Michaels) vs. Jinder Mahal (w Rusev & Lana)
During the match, Rusev eats a Sweet Chin Music.
RESULTS: Big Cass wins via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: The promo wasn't great, but man Rusev is just so good. I also love me some HBK and Sweet Chin Music.

MATCH: Neville vs. Lince Dorado
RESULTS: Neville wins via submission.
THOUGHTS: Heel Neville is the best Neville.
After the match, Neville attacks Lince again and Rich Swann comes out to rescue him.
VIDEO PACKAGE: They play a video of Edge winning the Royal Rumble in 2010.

PROMO (Backstage): Stephanie is backstage in her office and she is met by Sasha & Bayley. They want Charlotte & Nia next week on Raw. Stephanie says that she is lucky that she still has her match at the Rumble with Charlotte due to Sasha's interference last week. She gives them their matcg, but it will be tonight even though they aren't 100%.
MATCH: Luke Gallows vs. Sheamus
Karl Anderson & Cesaro are on commentary.
During the match, Anderson attacks Cesaro causing a distraction for Sheamus in the ring.
RESULTS: Sheamus wins via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Yawn.

PROMO (Backstage): Charly asks Roman if he is physically prepared for his title defense after being attacked earlier tonight. He says it is his obligation to defend the US Title, and he plans on doing just that.
PROMO (In-Ring): The hour that Mick Foley was given to find The Undertaker is up. So.. We're about to see The Undertaker. Mick is in the ring, and he recounts some of the encounters he has had with The Undertaker leaving physical, mental, and emotional scars. He carries them with pride, so he calls for Taker for one more encounter on Monday Night Raw. Of course, nothing happens. Mick begins to plead, saying there is no greater honor than standing in the ring as Taker approaches with his great entrance. The lights go out, but its not Takers music.. But Stephanie McMahons. She apologizes for Mick Foley on behalf of Raw with Mick not giving us The Undertaker. She now begins his performance review in public. This sad crowd is all because he couldn't "produce The Undertaker". Which is a weird way to put it. She hits on his strong points. Cesaro & Sheamus, first women's hell in a cell, and Jericho in the shark cage. Then his negatives. Putting the cruiserweight division on the line, emotions with Sami Zayn, and now of course.. Not giving us The Undertaker. He begins to apologize, but then the lights go out and the gongs hit.. The Deadman is here. He says two simple words.. "I'm back." He then says he is entering the Royal Rumble! Taker is in the Rumble! Taker says he will answer to no one. He goes where he wants, when he wants, and no one controls him. He stares right into Stephanie's eyes and says "no one". He brings up that this is the city where the streak came to its end, but his journey continues to the Royal Rumble. He will win the Rumble, and return to his rightful spot in the main event at WrestleMania. If anyone stands in his way.. They will "rest in peace".

PROMO (Backstage): Charly is interviewing KO and Y2J saying its been exciting seeing Taker, and KO says that it isn't exciting seeing part timers like he and Goldberg. Along with Goldberg, Roman Reigns destroyed The Kevin Owens Show. As his punishment, Team Kevin & Chris will become the new Unites States Champion.
MATCH: Sasha Banks & Bayley vs. Charlotte & Nia Jax
RESULTS: Charlotte & Nia win via pinfall. (Nia pins Bayley)
THOUGHTS: The whole thing with Charlotte & Sasha trading the belt back and forth killed my love of the Raws womens division. I haven't gained it back quite yet.
PROMO (Backstage): Noam and Alicia Fox are backstage. Noam was expecting a slap, but instead gets a kiss. Alicia walks away and says that Cedric was right, Noam can't handle a real man.

PROMO (In-Ring): The New Day is here! They apparently have some sort of offer for Titus O'Neil. Titus apologizes for hitting Woods last week, but wants another chance to join The New Day. New Day says that they have some footage of Titus that they want to show, and they flash it back to an embarrassing moment in NXT in 2010 where Titus fell running with a keg. They say that he shouldn't worry about joining the New Day, but a chance at redemption. Kofi is outside the ring with a keg of what they call "booty juice" and give him 12.7 seconds to run around the ring with it. He makes it in time but he dropped the keg early. Titus gets angry and pushes Kofi, and Kofi offers a match between he and Titus.

RESULTS: Kofi Kingston wins via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Just filling some time. Even though this was a decent segment all around with the promo too.

Remember, if either KO or Y2J pins Roman, whoever pins him will be the US Champ. Again, I don't see that happening.

THOUGHTS: WOOOOOOOW. I wasn't ready for that. Jericho wins the one title that he never held, and Reigns loses in a believable fashion. I can dig that.
