It is the special 900th episode of SmackDown, and we have two returning legends. Edge is returning for one more episode of "The Cutting Edge" featuring the five man SmackDown Survivor Series team. The Undertaker returns home to SmackDown, and the go home show for Survivor Series. And an Intercontinental Championship match between Ziggler and The Miz.
PROMO (In-Ring): Shane-O-Mac is starting the night off alongside General Manager Daniel Bryan. The two remind us about what a special night this is, and the return of Edge and Undertaker. But first, we have an Intercontinental Championship match.
INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. The Miz (w Maryse)
RESULTS: The Miz wins via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: These two seemingly always deliver when they're in there together. This was no different. The Miz picks up the win thanks to Maryse, and will defend the title against Sami at Survivor Series. Completely surprised to see Miz pick up the win here.

PROMO (Backstage): Alexa is complaining to Daniel Bryan about her foot being on the ropes and still losing her match for the Women's Title last week. He says she'll get her rematch, but she needs to focus on beating Team Raw on Sunday. Then in comes the coach of SmackDowns Women's team in Natty. And she gives some motivational speech, and Alexa gets mad and walks off.
MATCH: Kalisto vs. Oney Lorcan
RESULTS: Kalisto wins via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Extremely surprised to see Oney Lorcan..
VIDEO PACKAGE: They play a video of HHH beating The Rock for the title on SmackDown with the help of special referee Shawn Michaels and Shane McMahon running in.

PROMO (Backstage): All of the tag teams for Team SmackDown tag team elimination match are arguing in the back. Then Slater comes in and says he got them a motivational speaker. That speaker is King Booker! He is interrupted by the fashion police in Breezango who hands out tickets to everyone, and call him King Booger. King Booker then tears them a new one and is met with "All hail King Booker!" chants.

MATCH: Nikki Bella vs. Carmella
Raw Women's Champion and team captain, Charlotte, comes in to the front row flaunting that she has a ticket.
Charlotte gets involved causing a DQ. And the rest of the Raw Womens team comes out which brings out Team SmackDown for a brawl.
RESULTS: Technically, Nikki wins via DQ.
THOUGHTS: This brawl was 80x better than what I expected. SmackDown stood tall, so I'm guessing Raw wins on Sunday.

VIDEO PACKAGE: They play a video package for Goldberg and Lesnar even though thats a Raw thing.
MATCH: American Alpha, The Usos, Breezango, & The Hype Bros (w Slater & Rhyno) vs. The Headbangers, The Spirit Squad, The Ascension, & The Vaudevillians
RESULTS: AA, The Usos, Breezango, & Hype Bros win via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Really hope the match at Survivor Series is nothing like this one. Granted there is more firepower at Survivor Series, but this was a yawn fest.

THE CUTTING EDGE: The Rated R Superstar is here, and he'll be with SmackDown's Survivor Series team! Edge states that James Ellsworth is the spitting image of the opportunity that SmackDown gives people, and Ellsworth says he wants a five second pose. AJ says its stupid, and refuses to let it happen and demands a question. Edge ignores that and moves on to Randy Orton who is disappointed in for joining The Wyatt Family. Bray says that the power of the new Viper will be released at Survivor Series, and Edge says he feels for Shane as he has his work cut out for him when it comes to this team. Shane just asks that everyone is on the same page for one night only this Sunday. Shane then pumps up his squad, but AJ isn't having any of it starts beef with Dean and Ellsworth. Suddenly, the gongs hit and out comes the returning Deadman! Taker goes straight for Shane with a death stare. Taker says Shane is the perfect choice for commissioner as he has no fear and tips his cap. Taker says he is back taking souls and digging holes, and Mania will no longer define him. SmackDown has always been his home, and Survivor Series is where he was born. There is no reason to fear failure, but if they fail they will have reason to fear the Deadman. Team Raw better rest in peace. The Deadman is still the Deadman.
