Smark Out Moment

This week's episode of WWE NXT was taped on October 13, 2016 at the Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. The following are spoilers for the results of what transpired during the show based on the original tapings. There is a chance WWE will edit things differently.

• Shane Thorne defeated Roderick Strong (taped at a live event) to advance TM-61 into the next round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament
• Scott Dawson comes out on crutches to say he is unable to compete, so The Revival is pulling out of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, allowing DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) to advance to the third round. The Authors of Pain come out to attack DIY, but they're unsuccessful.
• The Authors of Pain defeated Rich Swann and No Way Jose (taped at a live event) to advance in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament
• SAnitY defeated Kota Ibushi and TJ Perkins to advance to the third round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament
