Cheap Pop & Cheap Heat of the Week in Wrestling: 11/27/2016

Posted by Ross K. Foad Sunday, November 27, 2016
Welcome to another edition of Cheap Pop and Cheap Heat from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we break down the world of professional wrestling and examine two of the polar opposite ends of the spectrum: one thing that was by far the worst thing (Cheap Heat) and the best thing (Cheap Pop) to happen over the past 7 days in sports entertainment. So, what went down this week that we loved and hated about the business?

CHEAP POP OF THE WEEK:
ENZO EXPOSED

WWE and nude skits are a hit and miss affair. For every ass cream segment, there is also a naked Mideon or a Big Dick Johnson. They are either horrendously cringe-worthy or hilarious classics.

Enzo Amore's romp into this territory definitely falls into the latter. Ok, it was flesh colored pants and pixelation, but that does not detract anything from how damn funny it was.

For reasons not quite apparent, a naked Enzo had been locked out of the locker room by Big Cass.
Unable to get back in, the G-certificate graduate began to stroll the corridors with his normal level of casual confidence, acting as if nothing was strange whatsoever.

How you doin'?

Rusev was less than pleased when Enzo met Lana and barked the surely Slammy award winning line 'Why are you naked in front of my wife?' before challenging Enzo to a match.

This came out of nowhere, it was a throwback to Attitude Era antics, and everyone came out well from it. Rusev looked great in the subsequent match, Lana was a perfect foil, and Enzo and Cass further cemented themselves as comedy kings

Bada-Boom.

CHEAP HEAT OF THE WEEK:
BROKEN PROMISE

We all know that losing a wrestling match with a firing stipulation is never a permanent termination. The wrestler is normally back within a week or two as a result of one shenanigan or another, but are we really going to ignore Stephanie McMahon's recent threat to fire the entire Raw men's team if they lost at Survivor Series?

Now, if my memory serves me correctly, I am pretty sure that Raw lost that match.

However, come Monday Night Raw, nobody was fired, and nobody mentioned it. Did I just miss the part where she backtracked on this? Or are we really meant to forget?

Yes, it would be daft to remove the men who made up this team, even if only for two weeks or so, but it is the fact that the story evaporated without a trace that bugs me.

SmackDown had ominous ass-kicking threat from The Undertaker if they lost, yet Raw seemingly did away with any repercussions whatsoever.
