Tonight we have a WWE World Championship match between the champ, AJ Styles, and challenger, Dean Ambrose! The build to No Mercy continues!
PROMO (In-Ring): The Viper, Randy Orton, is starting off SmackDown! He says that Bray is trying to make him lose focus through his mind games, but what it boils down to is that Bray is afraid of Randy Orton. He says he has had enough with the mind games and the sneak attacks, and its time for Bray to come to the ring to face his fear. Bray pops up on the big screen, and tells the story of Hansel and Gretel. Bray says, much like the story, he has left his own trail of breadcrumbs. It leads through the prison of Randy's own mind. He says Randy is in no position to make demands. He tells him to come find him, but to hurry. And shows an hour glass running down, and sings "he's got the whole world in his hands". Randy then quickly makes his way to the back.
PROMO (Backstage): Dean is walking backstage and is stopped by Charly. Charly asks him about his title match, and say that AJ can brag about beating John Cena all he wants but last week he did the same thing. It's old news. Tonight he takes back his title.

MATCH: Slater and Rhyno & American Alpha vs. The Usos & The Ascension
RESULTS: The Usos & The Ascension win via submission
THOUGHTS: So The Usos came out to new music to help with the character change, and I really dig the entire new look they have. It's a very much so welcomed change. However, we need to enjoy Heath and Rhyno as champs while we can because there is not a chance in hell they keep them at No Mercy.
PROMO (Backstage): Charly stops John Cena and asks if it matters who goes into No Mercy as champion for the triple threat match. John says he'll be at ringside for the match watching closely. It doens't matter who goes in as champ, because he is leaving as the 16x champ.
They show Randy backstage looking for Bray in a creepy set-up part of the arena. There is an arrow pointing a certain direction, Randy switches it. They pan away, and then back to the arrow which has been switched back by Erick Rowan who watches Randy walk away.

PROMO (Backstage): Bray tells Randy that he isn't very good at taking direction, and that he is being sucked into a trick. He will find that out tonight.
MATCH: Carmella & Natalya vs. Nikki Bella & Naomi
RESULTS: Carmella & Natalya win via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: This match was all sorts of "meh" for me. Seeing Nikki get pinned by Carmella again surprises me. I like seeing Nikki back, and I have a feeling that she is going to explode on Carmella in a one on one bout since she keeps losing in different matches.
Randy is still searching for Bray backstage. There is writings on the wall that say "Only one way out, choose wisely". Randy opens one of the doors that says "I am a god" on it, and behind it is a cardboard cut out of a young Randy as the legend killer. He closes the door, and goes to the other that says "predator or prey" on it. He beings to open the door, and behind it is Erick Rowan waiting for him. Randy seemingly senses something even though he never saw Rowan. He turns and leaves.

PROMO (In-Ring): It is time for The Mizs' homecoming celebration. This just happens to be Dolph's hometown as well, and they just happen to be in a feud. I can't imagine what will happen here. They play a video package of Miz's career, and its met with boos and silence. Miz complains that the Cavaliers got 1.3 million people for their title parade, and all he gets is this show. They open their arms to a traitor like LeBron James, but boo a man that main-evented WrestleMania. The Miz points out his parents as the only two decent people in the arena, and then points out Dolph Zigglers parents. He apologizes to them and tells them it must be hard to have raised such a loser. That brings out Dolph, shockingly, and he gets upset saying he can say whatever he wants to him. Don't talk like that to his parents or his city. He congratulates him on his cheated/tainted title run, and The Miz says the record books won't reflect he cheated and Dolphs career makes him sick and he would be embarrassed if it were his. He, his parents, and his friends should be embarrassed as all he's done is lose. The Miz says he is done, and he suspects that Dolph wants one more match. He says no and that he is off to celebrate in Hollywood. Dolph is left speechless in the ring, but then tells Miz to stop as he is leaving. Dolph says that this is all he has, and he lives for it. The things you love don't always love you back. He says he can't stop even though his career isn't everything he thought it would be but he can't stop. Dolph says that he should put that title up one more time, and he will put up his entire career. Miz says that if he wins then he doesn't go to Raw, NXT, or take a few days off. He either walks out champions, or he's done wrestling. In two weeks at No Mercy its The Miz's title vs. Dolph's career. If Dolph won't hang up his career, The Miz will do it for him.

PROMO (Backstage): Bray is still talking to Randy saying the door to him is wide open. He has him like a mouse in a maze, and he warns him to be careful.
Becky Lynch is heading to the ring for her match, but is attacked by Alexa Bliss. Alexa grabs the belt saying that Becky doesn't deserve it, but she does.
PROMO (Backstage): More ridiculous Curt Hawkins crap. He says he has a big announcement next week.

PROMO (Backstage): Bray says he is disappointed in Randy. He thought he was worthy of this game, but The Viper has no fangs. He then asks where he is. Then behind him, Randy pops up with the sheep mask on. Bray asks "Where are you, coward?", and turns around to get a beatdown from Orton. After he beats Bray down, Randy grabs the sheep mask, and sits on a metal chair. He then sings "I've got the whole world in my hands".
PROMO (Backstage): AJ is stopped by Charly, and she asks him about what Dean and John said warlier in the night. He said it doesn't matter. He beat up John Cena, and then beat John Cena. He beat up Dean Ambrose, and then beat Dean Ambrose for the WWE World Championship. He does it all over again tonight to retain his WWE World Championship.

WWE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: AJ Styles (c) vs. Dean Ambrose
John Cena is on commentary for this one.
During the match, AJ hits Cena with a cheap shot. That causes John to try and get involved and distracts the ref from Dean Ambroses potential three count. Dean jumps out of the ring, and hits Cena for the distraction. Dean jumps back in the ring, and AJ pins him with a handful of his pants for leverage.
RESULTS: AJ Styles retains via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: This was a phenomenal match like I knew it'd be! This triple threat at No Mercy has a chance to be legendary.
After the match, Dean and AJ come to blows. John hits an AA on Ambrose, and then one on Styles who attempted a cheap shot. John Cena stands tall to end the show!
