WWE Power Rankings Top 25 Superstars This Week: 9/17/2016

Posted by Ben Guest Saturday, September 17, 2016
Welcome to another edition of Power Rankings from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for one's self, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

25. Enzo and Cass

Enzo Amore lost against Epico on Raw. Why?

24. Sheamus

Sheamus lost against Cesaro on Raw making it 3-2 to Sheamus in the best of 7 series.

23. Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler lost against The Miz at Backlash before cutting a promo on SmackDown. He's lost title matches at two pay-per-views in a row now, give the guy a break.

22. The New Day

The New Day lost against The Club on Raw.

21. Carmella

Carmella was the last person to be pinned in the six pack elimination match for the Women's Championship at Backlash, she then lost against Alexa Bliss, Nikki Bella, Naomi and Natalya on SmackDown.

20. Randy Orton

Randy Orton interfered in the match between Bray Wyatt and Kane at Backlash before cutting a promo on SmackDown. It's bad how predictable WWE are when handling injuries.

19. Cesaro

Cesaro beat Sheamus on Raw and is now losing 3-2 in the best of 7 series. Like I've said several times, I want to care about this, but having Sheamus win 3 matches then Cesaro win 4 is not the way to do it.

18. The Club

The Club beat The New Day on Raw. I want to be excited for them to win the titles, but it feels like this feud has been the same thing for such a long time.

17. Shining Stars

Epico beat Enzo Amore on Raw. I'm hoping that the only reason they're going over Enzo and Cass is so that they get instant heat and they know Enzo and Cass will still get huge pops. Giving Enzo and Cass the titles as a reward would be nice to.

16. Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns lost against Kevin Owens on Raw. I wonder where Reigns would be if it wasn't for that violation?

15. Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin beat Apollo Crews on the Backlash kickoff show. Sure, why not?

14. The Usos

The Usos beat Hype Bros before losing against Heath Slater and Rhyno at Backlash. They then beat Hype Bros on SmackDown. It turns out that a heel turn didn't make them more interesting.

13. Bray Wyatt

At Backlash Bray Wyatt beat Randy Orton by forcing the ref to count out the injured Orton. He then lost against Kane due to interference from Orton. Wyatt then cut a promo on SmackDown. I have two big problems with WWE's treatment of Bray Wyatt. First of all, why did he lose against Kane? Orton could have attacked him after the match and still had the same affect. When was the last time Wyatt actually won a feud? Why did Kane need the push? Secondly, Why put him back with Erick Rowan? This is the second time that he's turned his back on Rowan just for them to join up within a few weeks or months. I love The Wyatt Family but either have them as a dominant heel stable or just put Bray on his own. Wyatt could have been a champion on SmackDown, but they clearly don't know how to use him.

12. The Miz

The Miz beat Dolph Ziggler at Backlash, with a little help from Maryse. he then cut a promo before losing against John Cena and Dean Ambrose on SmackDown.

11. Charlotte and Dana Brooke

Charlotte and Dana Brooke cut a promo before Dana lost against Sasha Banks and Bayley, while Charlotte was ringside.

10. Bayley.

See above. They seem to be doing a good job of keeping Bayley in the main event without giving her the title or making her look week, I wonder how long they can keep that up.

9. Sasha Banks

See above. Sasha needs to get that title back and hold it until at least WrestleMania.

8. Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose lost against AJ Styles at Backlash before cutting a promo and beating AJ Styles and The Miz on SmackDown.

7. John Cena

John Cena returned on SmackDown to cut a promo and beat The Miz and AJ Styles.

6. Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens beat Roman Reigns on Raw. He is such a good champion!

5. Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss was the first eliminated in the six pack challenge for the Women's Championship. However, on SmackDown she beat Nikki Bella, Natalya, Naomi and Carmella to become the number 1 contender for the Women's Championship.

4. Heath Slater and Rhyno

Beauty and the Man Beast, with Rhyno as the beauty and Slater as the man beast, beat The Usos to become the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions! YES! YES! YES!

3. TJ Perkins

TJ Perkins won the Cruiserweight Classic and became the new Cruiserweight Champion! That tournament was amazing and I hope they do some kind of variation every year. It's rumored that there may be a women's tournament in the works.

2. Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch won the six pack challenge to become the new SmackDown Women's Champion! She deserves it more than any of the other women on SmackDown.

1. AJ Styles

AJ STYLES IS THE WWE WORLD CHAMPION!!!!!

Do you think anyone should be listed differently?
