WWE had an incredible weekend. From NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 2, and SummerSlam WWE literally controlled New York. Monday Night Raw had a big night at SummerSlam. There is a new WWE Women's Champion, and she's been there before. Charlotte regained her title after beating Sasha Banks and ending her fairytale at least a few chapters earlier than Sasha expected. Theres rumors that Sasha may be getting ready for a suspension, so that could be a reason. Jeri-KO beats Enzo & Cass in their own backyard, the United States Championship match between Rusev and Roman Reigns never even started. The two brutes attacked one another before the bell rang and it left Rusev unable to compete. We have a new(and first) WWE Universal Champion! Finn Balor continues his historic move to the main roster by cementing himself in WWE history by becoming the first ever Universal Champion. The main even of all main events, Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton. The Beast vs. The Viper. This match ended in a TKO. Lesnar pummeled Orton so badly that the refs called the match after Orton suffered a huge gash on his forehead. Orton wins via TKO. But it doesn't end there! Shane McMahon comes out to check on his SmackDown Live superstar only to suffer an F5 of his own.
BREAKING NEWS: Finn Balor was injured in his match with Seth Rollins last night. He has handed over his title tonight, and will be out 6 months with a torn labrum.
PROMO (In-Ring): Steph and Mick are in the ring, and they welcome Finn Balor to the ring. Finn is all smiles with the Universal Championship around one shoulder, and a sling around the other. They hand a mic to Finn who is soaking in "You deserve it!" chants from the Brooklyn crowd. He says that his new belt represents a lifetime of sacrifice, and that you truly can accomplish anything. Last night he became the first ever WWE Universal Champion, but there was a sacrifice. He thanks the WWE for the opportunity, all the guys in the back, and Seth Rollins for giving him the "match of my life". And then of course, the crowd. He then relinquishes the belt, but tells the WWE universe that when he is healthy, fit, and ready that title is the first thing he is coming after. Mick then takes the belt from Finns shoulder, gives him a hug, and rightfully raises his hand in victory. Finn soaks in the love from the crowd and leaves. See you in six months, Champ! What is next for the WWE Universal Championship? Before Finn can leave however, he is met on the stage by his opponent, Seth Rollins. Who is all smiles and laughter as he stares down the now former champ in Finn Balor. He joins Mick and Steph in the ring. Seth sarcastically says "what a shame", and says its time to move on. Everyone knows he is the true winner now, and this needs to turn into a celebration. He calls himself the true WWE Universal Champion and that its time to celebrate. But he is interrupted by Sami Zayn! Sami dances his way to the ring and shares some words with Seth. But before he can say anything into the mic, out comes Y2J! Y2J goes straight to Steph pleading her, but the group is joined by Kevin Owens next! Steph then says this whole thing is getting out of control and turns to her GM, but they have one more interruption.. Big Cass and Enzo! Then Roman Reigns comes down to a chorus of boos. All of these guys are pleading to the commissioner and GM over who should be the new champ. Finally Mick says that there will be a series of matches, and it'll culminate next week in a new WWE Universal Champion. That starts right now with Sami Zayn vs. Seth Rollins. KO and Sami trade words, and Seth takes advantage by attacking him from behind.

MATCH: Seth Rollins vs. Sami Zayn
During the match Sami seems to roll up his ankle pretty badly and limps through most of this match.
RESULTS: Seth Rollins wins via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: I don't know if this injury is legit or not, but it sure seemed like it. He put on one hell of a performance with a bum ankle if thats the case. Great stuff.

MATCH: Kevin Owens vs. Neville
This match is part of the Universal Title "tournament".
Y2J, KO's tag partner and current best friend, comes in to distract Neville so KO can take advantage.
RESULTS: Kevin Owens wins via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: I love that Y2J and KO are still a thing. They're gold together, and its going to be even better when it splits.
BREAKING NEWS: There will be a fatal four way match for the WWE Universal Championship next week.

PROMO (In-Ring): The New Day is back in full force as Big E returned last night! They say there is magic in the number three, but the true magic is around the number 365. The number of days they have been the tag team champions. They then thank the fans for making them who they are, and giving them the opportunity. They have a unicorn piƱata filled with Booty-O's. Then out come Anderson and Gallows saying how stupid this whole thing is. The New Day is stupid, and Brooklyn is stupid. The Club seems to think that they don't have anything to celebrate as they lost last night. They may have saved Jon Stewart, but they lost the match and that means The Club deserves a rematch. They say they're going to win those titles, and it starts tonight when Karl Anderson beats Big E.
*Commercial Break*
MATCH: Big E(w Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) vs. Karl Anderson(w Luke Gallows)
RESULTS: Big E wins via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Meh. This whole segment from the promo to the match was just kind of.. Meh.

PROMO (In-Ring): Titus O'Neil stumbles through explaining that the Primetime Players were the team that was the champs when New Day won their titles last year in Brooklyn. He says that was the best day of his life because he dropped the dead weight in Darren Young. He says there is no episode of "Ride Along" with The Primetime Players because there is only one Primetime Player. He says that he would be Universal Champion if not for Darren Young. He blames Young for all the failures he has had in the WWE. He says he buries him tonight to be done with him for good. This has been AWFUL. He says that Bob Backlund is telling him not to come to the ring. The crowd is chanting "We want Slater!", and I am chanting "Please end this shit!" then all the sudden Bob Backlund comes in the ring and nearly locks in the crossface chicken wing, but Titus turns the tables. Then Darren comes out and suffers a Clash of the Titus for his troubles. Damn that was bad.

VIDEO PACKAGE: They play a video of Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton going to battle last night that ended in a TKO for Brock Lesnar.
PROMO (Backstage): Tom Philips asks Steph about what Brock Lesnar did to her brother last bight, and she says that Brock crossed the line and there will be repercussions.
MATCH: Rusev(w Lana) vs. Big Cass(w Enzo Amore)
The winner of this match will go on to be in the fatal four way for the WWE Universal Championship next week.
Rusev has taped up ribs after his brawl with Roman last night at SummerSlam.
RESULTS: Big Cass wins via count out.
THOUGHTS: Rusev leaves after he clearly is struggling with his ribs. Doesn't make much sense for him to leave a title shot on the table, but Big Cass is a cool shake up.
PROMO (Backstage): Tom Philips is with Jeri-KO and he congratulates KO on his win, but he asks what will happen if Y2J wins and they are both in the fatal four way. They argue back and forth over would be the better champ, and saying that each of them would be winners. Jericho says they will worry about it next week, because Roman Reigns won't even get a chance at the fatal four way. But he will get.. IT.

PROMO (In-Ring): The new Women's Champion, Charlotte, is here. She says that she is the greatest womens athlete in the world. She silences the entire city of New York, and exposed Sasha Banks. She is the 2x Champ, and she didn't need her dad or Dana to get there. She says that Sasha's back injury proved she doesn't have what it takes to carry the Women's division. When she is medically cleared to come back, she tells her not to. The Queen has regained her throne. The Mick comes in, and he says that last night she was the better woman. He has talked to The Boss, and when she is ready she will get her rematch. Charlotte says she'll break her back again, and that she deserves the night off. Mick says not so fast, because Stephanie and him have signed.. BAYLEY! Bayley is the newest member of Monday Night Raw. The crowd is finally back into this show. Bayley soaks in the praise she so rightfully deserves from this Brooklyn crowd. She thanks Mick, and seals the deal with a hug. Charlotte is unimpressed. She says there is a reason that Bayley was left behind in the revolution, but Bayley is ready for a challenge. A challenge for the WWE Women's Championship. Charlotte says it'll take more than a little talk of hopes and dreams to face the best. She needs to earn it. She says she isn't dressed for a match, but Dana is. Bayley vs. Dana. Bayley's Monday Night Raw debut.
*Commercial Break*
MATCH: Bayley vs. Dana Brooke(w Charlotte)

PROMO (Backstage): Tom asks Roman about Chris Jericho, and he says he is going to shut his mouth.

PROMO (Backstage): Sheamus is asked what we can expect from match two of their best of seven series between he and Cesaro next week. Sheamus compares Cesaro to Suicide Squad. All hype, but under performing. But he is strictly a winner.
MATCH: Braun Stroman vs. Johnny Knockout
RESULTS: Braun wins via pinfall. Twice.
THOUGHTS: Braun beat him once, and then made the ref count it again. So he won twice.

PROMO (In-Ring): Here come The Dudley Boyz! It was announced earlier today that the greatest tag team ever has decided to retire. Chants of "EC-DUB" fill the arena. Bubba says he normally doesn't get emotional, but tonight will be different. One year ago, in this city, this arena, and this ring they returned to the WWE. They busted their ass for 20 years, and its time to call it career. D-Von says he created history alongside Bubba for 20 years. Like the TLC match with guys like Edge & Christian, and the Hardy Boys. He says every bump they took, every ladder and chair.. He would do it all again. He says the WWE has been his home and it always will be. If not for the WWE Universe there would be no Dudley Boyz. They turn the table and cheer for the crowd instead. Bubba says you never get to go out on our own terms, but thankfully they get to go out on their own terms in there own back yard. D-Von gives one last TESTIFY! But as the emotional moment is ending, out come The Shining Stars.. God I hate these turds. They say that this ceremony is a little embarrassing. It is about time their washed up asses leave. They are the saving grace of the tag team division. These guys can't even speak because the "WE WANT TABLES" chant is too loud. They says they have a going away present, and its two tickets to Puerto Rico. They talk up Puerto Rico, and tell them to take the tickets and tables to Puerto Rico. The The Dudley Boyz attack. They give a 3D, a "WASSSSSSUP", and one last "GET THE TABLES!". Then as they get ready for a 3D through a table, Anderson and Gallows stop them and beat them senseless. Bubba gets a Magic Killer on the floor, and D-Von gets one through the table in the ring.

MATCH: Roman Reigns vs. Chris Jericho
This match will determine who the final entrant into the WWE Universal Championship fatal four way match next week on Raw.
During the match, KO comes out to distract Roman to return the favor that Jericho gave him early on.
RESULTS: Roman Reigns wins via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Would've loved to see Y2J win solely because the Y2J and KO dynamic in that match would have been amazing. I'm sure Rusev will interfere next week in the fatal four way match. Next will be: Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens vs. Big Cass for the WWE Universal Championship.
