Our last Monday Night Raw before SummerSlam! I'm halfway hoping we see the WWE Universal Championship belt for the first time ever tonight, but smart money is we'll have to wait until Sunday when Finn Balor and Seth Rollins go one on one for the new title. Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman should be making an appearance as a match that is 15 years in the making happens and The Beast takes on The Viper. The Boss and the champ, Sasha Banks, will prepare for her first WWE Women's Championship defense as she takes on former champ, Charlotte. Last week she beat Dana Brooke insuring that she won't be ringside supporting Charlotte at SummerSlam. Last week we saw a new team from as Kevin Owens came to the aid of Chris Jericho and they will take on Enzo & Big Cass at SummerSlam. The New Day will have to avoid more ringpostitus at the hands of The Club for one more week before they tangle for the WWE Tag Team Championships at SummerSlam. Our last week of building up for the second biggest PPV of the year! Are you expecting any surprises?
VIDEO PACKAGE: They play a video of Seth Rollins outside the arena earlier in the day talking about he is going to become the first Universal Champion on Sunday. But first he has business with his opponent Finn Balor, and he calls out the Demon King side of Finn. He then laughs because the Demon King doesn't show up. "If The Demon King is too scared to fid The Man, then The Man will find the Demon King."
PROMO (In-Ring): Lana and Rusev are in the ring, and they are being asked to leave although the refuse. Lana says everyone will listen to them, and Rusev talk about how Roman ruined their wedding celebration. Because of that there will be no Raw. No matches, no superstars. Nothing until Roman makes his way out to apologize. But his call is answered by GM Mick Foley. Mick is asking Rusev to leave, but Rusev is unimpressed. Rusev says he is no GM without Rusev. The greatest US Champ ever, and he demands respect. Foley, mic-less, continues to ask him to leave. Rusev says that Foley sucks, and questions why he has to face Roman and SummerSlam. He hasn't earned the shot at his United States Championship. Rusev then asks for Stephanie, and out comes the Princess of the business. She looks.. Unhappy. Both the commissioner and GM of Raw step in the ring with the champ and his newlywed. He thanks Steph, and Stephanie says that this behavior is unacceptable. He demands respect, but shows none. She supports Mick 100%. Rusev says he deserves no respect as he is not a champion. He then says that Daniel and Shane would respect the great US Champion. Then Roman finds his way to the ring. Roman says that if an apology will end this, thats what he will do. He apologizes for the website he found his wife on, and the ugly sasquach babies they are bound to make. Rusev calls him a wannabe, and calls out all his loser fans. Roman says that even though the two are scheduled to fight at SummerSlam, but he is ready to fight now. Rusev says he is ready to defend his wives honor. So Mick says that he can respect that. Sunday it is about the United States Title, but the two will fight tonight to defend Lana's honor.

PROMO (In-Ring): Byron asks Sheamus about his feud with Cesaro to which Sheamus responds that he has proved he is the better man. As far as Sami Zayn, sure he has been great since his debut, but he is nothing but a cheap knock off of The Celtic Warrior. He can talk all he wants on Twitter, but he'll knock his "bleeding head" off.
MATCH: Sheamus vs. Sami Zayn
Cesaro joins the commentary team in the middle of the match.
Cesaro distracts Sheamus causing Sami to hit the Helluva Kick for the win.
RESULTS: Sami Zayn wins via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: This was a given. The match between Sami and Sheamus was good, but everyone knew the distraction was coming. Good win for Sami though.
PROMO (Backstage): Tom is interviewing Y2J and KO. Tom says that KO will face Big Cass one on one, to which Jericho says no because he has KO's back. Y2J says that Enzo is no certified G, and he probably doesn't even have a certificate. KO says that Cass & Enzo are a cancer in the locker room, and they'll take care of it. Throughout the entire promo they called Tom every name but Tom. It was fantastic. KO and Y2J are freaking amazing together.
*Commercial Break*
PROMO (Backstage): Sheamus and Cesaro are arguing and being separated by security. Mick comes in and says that the two will go at it in a best of 7 series, and that will start at SummerSlam.
MATCH: The New Day vs. The Dudley Boyz
Big E is still out of action, suffering from Ringpostitus at the hands of The Club.
Before the match starts, Dr. Gallows and Dr. Anderson come up on screen with more puns and talking about ringpostitus. I love these guys. Always gold.
RESULTS: The New Day wins via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: D-Von accidentally takes out Bubba on a clothesline.. I like New Day winning, but making The Dudley Boyz look dumb is ridiculous.
PROMO (In-Ring): Kofi grabs a mic after Anderson and Gallows say that they are next to suffer ringpostitus. Kofi says this is no game, and Xavier says they won the belts at SummerSlam last year and they'll keep them this year.
*Commercial Break*
PROMO (Backstage): Seth Rollins is roaming around in the hallways asking if anyone has seen The Demon King. He then runs into Neville and asks him. He gives Seth some advice, you may think you're ready, but he can promise that he isn't.
MATCH: Nia Jax vs. Rachel Leby(spelling?)
This poor girl Nia is up against is another local talent. I'm sorry if the spelling is incorrect but her name never come up on screen so I may have butchered it.
RESULTS: Nia Jax wins via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: I love squash matches. I'm ready to see Nia in a real match now. Just like Braun.

PROMO (In-Ring): Paul Heyman and his beast, Brock Lesnar, are back on Raw as they are a mere six days from their battle with Randy Orton. The crowd is loving Lesnar tonight! As soon as Heyman starts speaking, Heath Slater comes out.. The undrafted Heath Slater is here, and Heyman is unimpressed. Slater informs the two that he is the hottest free agent in sports entertainment today, and he has no clue what is wrong with the SmackDown Live crew. They wouldn't know a star if it smacked them in a face, thats why he came to Paul Heyman. Heyman just starts laughing, as he wouldn't even entertain the thought of advocating for Slater. But Heath says thats not why he is here. Heath has one more opportunity for a contract. All he has to do is beat Lesnar one on one.. Tonight. So he asks for a match tonight with Lesnar, and Paul answers by saying the joke is over. He asks to get Heath out of the picture and focus on Lesnar. Heath then just starts screaming. He can't beleieve the disrespect. He then starts in on his kids, like last week. His, whatever number, of kids depends on him. He knows Lesnar will kick his ass, but he has to do this. He doesn't care what he has to go through, but Brock grabs the mic and interrupts. He can appreciate the fact that he wants to provide and maintain the responsibilities. He says he has guts, and Lesnar understands that he has kids. He invites him into the ring to chat about his kids. Brock walks straight up to his face and says "I don't give a shit about your kids.". He gives him two choices, walk out on your own two feet or stand there and keep pissing him off. Heath goes for a cheap shot, and is then taken through Suplex City. He also eats an F5 for fun. Heath has been nothing but entertaining. Amazing stuff. Paul says that he gives him credit as he stood up face to face with Lesnar. Unlike Randy who snuck in from the shadows. Paul claims himself as a hype artist, and that he needs to sell Orton has a chance at SummerSlam, but it is not believable. This is the summer of the conquerer, and the Beast is ready. He will assert his dominance this Sunday at SummerSlam. Brock Lesnar IS the box office at SummerSlam. No one can stand up to Lesnar. Not the RKO, and not Randy Orton. This Sunday we get to see a once in a lifetime athlete to do what he does best.

MATCH: Big Cass (w Enzo Amore) vs. Kevin Owens (w Chris Jericho)
Jericho attacks Enzo at ringside, and then gets involved by attacking Big Cass. Jeri-KO rules the ring.
RESULTS: Big Cass wins via DQ.
THOUGHTS: Jeri-KO have a 0% chance win Sunday. Enzo and Cass need the win, so to see KO and Y2J go over as the tougher team here.
PROMO (Backstage): Tom is interviewing Reigns who says he is ready for any fight tonight, and is then ambushed and destroyed by Rusev. Security pulls Rusev away but not before the damage is done.
*Commercial Break*
MATCH: The Primetime Players (w Bob Backlund) vs. The Shining Stars
On the pre-show, Titus went up to Darren and Bob Backlund saying the team should get back together even after their recent differences. Not an obvious backstabbing coming here.
Bob and Titus were talking at ringside, but Darren gets knocked into Titus on accident. Thus causing Titus to hit Clash of The Titus on Darren and leave him behind.
RESULTS: The Shining Stars win via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: I figured the turn was coming. This is a pre show match this Sunday I'm sure. But i still hate The Shining Stars.
*Commercial Break*
MATCH: Jinder Mahal vs. Neville
Jinder Mahal won a contract spot after beating his former partner, Heath Slater, last week. And I totally forgot.
RESULTS: Neville wins via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: I'm still really concerned that The Red Arrow may actually be the downfall of Neville in the long run. One bad step, boom, career ending injury. i feel like he should save it as a last resort for special matches maybe. I'm talking about this because the match was so meh.
PROMO (Backstage): Mick and Stephanie are backstage, and Mick says that Jon Stewart will be the special guest at SUmmerSlam. Then Seth comes in, and they ask how he is. He says he is tired because he has look everywhere for The Demon King. Stephanie says he should the the night off, but Mick says that he should go to the ring to call The Demon King. Seth says he'll do it, somewhat unwillingly.
*Commercial Break*
PROMO (In-Ring): Seth Rollins is in the ring to call out The Demon King. The alter-ego of his SummerSlam opponent, and the man he'll face for the WWE Universal Championship, Finn Balor. Seth says he has never felt more disrespected. Last week Finn came out to talk about his history, but he hasn't seen this Demon King anywhere. So he offers a little tid bit. There is nothing and no one that can stop him from becoming the first ever WWE Universal Champion, and this Demon King is nowhere to be found. Seth, feeling generous, give him one more chance and calls him to the ring. He then laughs because nothing happens. He says Finn is only trying to intimidate him because he is afraid. He understands though, because he is going to be beaten. He admit that he would be afraid to face himself too. This Demon King is just one more chapter in the book of Rollins. He won't show because he is terrified, because he is more terrifying than anything. Sunday this Demon King has nowhere to run or hide, but suddenly the lights go out and it seems we have a visitor. The Demon King is here on Monday Night Raw! The two share no words as the brawl begins and The Demon King stands tall.
VIDEO PACKAGE: They play a video package of Lana and Rusev's wedding on Raw last week being destroyed by Roman.
*Commercial Break*
MATCH: The Golden Truth vs. Gallows & Anderson
After they pick up the win, Gallows & Anderson are attacked by The New Day.
RESULTS: Gallows & Anderson win via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: As if The Golden Truth has any chance. I think Gallows & Anderson put an end to The New Day's historic reign as Tag Team Champions.
PROMO (Backstage): Dana and Charlotte are talking about how Dana lost against Sasha last week. She is now banned from ringside at SummerSlam. Charlotte asks why Dana failed her when it mattered the most. They aren't sharing spotlight, its all Charlottes. She says that when she is a 2x champ she is going to ask Stephanie to replace her with someone that isn't an epic failure.
*Commercial Break*
MATCH: Charlotte vs. Alicia Fox
Sasha Banks, the boss, the WWE Women's Champion is on commentary.
After the match, Charlotte calls Sasha to the ring and Dana comes in to distract her. Charlotte takes advantage and locks in the figure four.
RESULTS: Charlotte wins via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: STOKED for Sasha vs. Charlotte on Sunday. These ladies are gonna tear it down.
*Commercial Break*
MATCH: Rusev (w Lana) vs. Roman Reigns
Rusev is defending the honor of his wife here tonight.
RESULTS: Roman Reigns win via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Hate that this match even happened. I'm loving everything Rusev has been doing the last few weeks. Having him main event Raw for a second straight week is well deserved and makes him and the US Title look phenomenal. Roman has been great in this feud too, but having two SummerSlam opponents go one on one six days before their high profile match is questionable to say the least. But.. It happened, and it wasn't bad at all. Hopefully they bring it on Sunday!
