Can WWE follow up on what was one of the greatest Raws in a long time? Sasha Banks won her first WWE Women's Championship, Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon announce a new title that will be up for grabs at SummerSlam, and Seth Rollins will face.. FINN BALOR in the main event of SummerSlam to determine the WWE Universal Champion! That's right, Finn Balor won two matches last week, including the main event against Roman Reigns to decide that he will take on Seth Rollins for the newest WWE title. Now, to make matters even better, Brock Lesnar is making his first appearance since being drafted by Raw, and I'm sure he and his advocate, Paul Heyman, will have plenty of words for his SummerSlam opponent, Randy Orton. The biggest party of the summer is getting closer, so lets see what else they have in store for us!

VIDEO PACKAGE: They show a video package containing the events of last weeks historic Raw. From the introduction of Finn and the Universal Championship to Sasha winning her first Women's Championship. The Era of The Boss has begun!

PROMO (In-Ring): The first promo of Monday Night Raw belongs to the WWE Women's Champion, Sasha Banks! The NEW WWE Women's Champion I might add. Charlotte will get her rematch however at SummerSlam. After soaking in the "You deserve it!" chants, Sasha goes on to talk about how this time last year everyone went home talking about her and Bayley at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn, and this year will be no different as she defends her title against Charlotte at SummerSlam. Then out comes the former champ, Charlotte. Charlotte gets throttled with "You tapped out!" chants as Sasha says there is something different about her. Charlotte quickly tells the champ to get over herself and that she will beat Sasha at SummerSlam all by herself. Charlotte says for over 300 days she proved shes the best, and that Sasha is nothing but a one night stand. Sasha says that if it wasn't for a one night stand by Ric Flair she probably wouldn't be standing here. All the sudden a barrage of "Quiet.. quiet.. quiet" as Y2J strolls out screaming to everyone to be quiet and defends Charlotte saying she is royalty and has already out done everything her father has ever done. That she will beat Sasha at SummerSlam and that Sasha is no boss. Y2J says she is no boss, she is a brat. But I have a feeling she is about to get some backup.. And that backup comes in the form of Enzo Amore. No Big Cass though. He strolls up next to Sasha and puts the moves on her. Saying "The Sasha Bank should make a Certified G deposit." Charlotte jumps in and tells her to go for it and says that when it comes to his love life there is only one word to describe it.. And Y2J does his best Big Cass impression. Enzo says that listening to Jericho talk has time passing like a kidney stone. Like he is a text message that never sends. Jericho calls him a "hip hop hobbit". Y2J says he doesn't care how anyone is doing, but before he can go any further out comes Raw GM Mick Foley. Foley says that its a new era and a new way of thinking so we are having a mixed tag match. Jericho and Charlotte vs. Enzo and Sasha Banks. That will happen.. Right now!

MATCH: Chris Jericho & Charlotte vs. Enzo Amore & Sasha Banks

Kevin Owens is on commentary, and he says he is out here because he thinks people need something they can enjoy after watching 15 minutes of Sasha and Enzo hitting on one another. He says that NXT Takeover: Brooklyn wasn't about Sasha, but about him and Finn in a ladder match.

Dana Brooke runs in for a distraction and Charlotte hits the Natural Selection for the win.

After the match Y2J hits a Codebreaker on Enzo, and then Cass comes down for the save.

RESULT: Chris Jericho & Charlotte win via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: Weird seeing Enzo without Cass, but seeing a mixed tag was pretty cool. LOVED KO on commentary.

MATCH: Braun Stroman vs. Some guy named Evan

I know his name is Evan, but not the last name. Another local guy.

RESULT: Braun Stroman wins via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: Another squash match, and I love it. They are definitely welcome back! Also digging Stromans new finisher, the reverse chokeslam.

PROMO (Backstage): Steph and Mick talk about their great choices with drafting Braun and the mixed tag match. Then Mark Henry shows up, and says he has reopened the Hall of Pain and is ready to bring in new people. Steph says that they brought him in as a mentor, and Mick agrees by saying everyone looks up to him. Mark says with no disrespect and wants another run because he knows he has more left. Mick says that since Mark is the WWE Ambassador for the Olympics, so tonight he will go after some gold of his own. Tonight he faces Rusev for the United States Championship.

PROMO (Backstage): The Golden Truth is back playing Pokémon GO! and Goldust thinks R-Truth is addicted to it.

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: The Golden Truth vs. The Shining Stars

R-Truth is playing Pokémon GO! on the apron while Goldust is in the ring.

R-Truth goes after his phone that he dropped as soon as Goldust tried to make a tag and The Shining Stars get a roll up pin fall win.

RESULT: The Shining Stars win via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: Yawn. It was funny at first, but I don't see the entertainment anymore.

*Commercial Break*

PROMO (In-Ring): Finn Balor is with Michael Cole as we get to know the first NXT draft pick and one of two men vying for the new WWE Universal Championship this Sunday at SummerSlam. Finn says the second he was drafted he knew he would have to make impact immediately, but they are quickly interrupted by Seth Rollins. Rollins steals Cole's mic and tells him to get lost, and then Rollins fills us in on Finn's NXT career. Saying he was an NXT Champ, but not the first because that was him. He was also a first round pick, but not the first pick because that was him. He also pinned Roman Reigns, but he has made a career of doing that. So everything Finn has done, Seth has done better. Finn says that its true, he has done those things first, but he will beat Seth and be the first WWE Universal Champion. Seth says that this is Monday Night Raw. His show, and he is "The Man". Finn has never faced anyone like Seth, and he never will. Finn says that there are two distinct differences, last week Finn earned his spot in the Universal Title match and Seth was handed a spot. Seth takes offense saying that nothing has ever been handed to him but the Universal Championship because he is going to walk right over Finn. Finn says the only thing that's going to be handed to him is his own ass. The two have a quick brawl and Balor prevails as Rollins retreats.

UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Rusev(c) (w Lana) vs. Mark Henry

RESULT: Rusev wins via submission, and retains the US Championship.
THOUGHTS: Mark Henry put up more of a fight then anyone has against Rusev, and it was a decent match but we all knew he stood no chance.

PROMO (In-Ring): Rusev is disgusted that Henry is the man that was chosen to represent them in Rio. The only reason America wins any gold in the Olympics is because they are rigged. He is a super athlete and no one can beat him. In comes Roman Reigns.. Roman the new contender for the US Title? The stare each other down face to face in the middle of the ring. This might be the only time people cheer for Rusev. Rusev tries to leave but Roman stops him and the brawl begins. Roman wins the brawl.

VIDEO PACKAGE: A video package plays of Nia Jax with her NXT fights and her debut last week.

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: Darren Young (w Bob Backlund) vs. Titus O'Neil

Titus uses Darrens tights to gain an unfair advantage on the pin for the win.

RESULT: Titus O'Neil wins via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: This must be a lower card SummerSlam match now.

PROMO (Backstage): Stephanie and Mick are backstage and Steph gifts Mick a Raw tablet. Then Sheamus butts in and says that he should've gotten the US Title shot, and Cesaro comes in and says it should have been him. The GM says that Cesaro should've been a top 5 pick, but his injury status made him drop. Sheamus is tough, but hasn't proved it lately. So he says that the two should take out their anger on each other, and whoever impresses them the most gets a future championship match.

*Commercial Break*

PROMO (Backstage): Bob Backlund and Titus are arguing about how he cheated in the last match. Bob saying we live life with principals we shouldn't break, and you lose when you cheat. Titus disagrees saying principals never got anyone anywhere, and if he doesn't calm down he will knock his old ass out. Darren then comes in freaking out that he talked to his coach like that. Yep. Definitely a SummerSlam match.

MATCH: Nia Jax vs. Ariel Monroe(spelling?)

I'm assuming Ariel is a local talent prepared to be steamrolled.

RESULT: Nia Jax wins via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: Yeah more squash matches.

PROMO (Backstage): Tom Philips interviews Sami Zayn who is getting ready to take on Seth Rollins. He says that Seth has a big mouth just like KO, and he beat him at Battleground. He has something to prove and that starts tonight.

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: The New Day vs. Anderson & Gallows

Anderson and Gallows interrupted The New Day's championship celebration with a beat down of the tag champs last week. Payback time for New Day.

One member of New Day will be banned from ringside, and Xavier Woods lost their game of bag of fruit so he will not be with his friends tonight.

Kofi & Big E vs. Gallows & Anderson.

Anderson & Gallows were busy with the "too sweet" taunt and Big E gets a roll up pin for the win.

Anderson & Gallows then attack and take out all 3 New Day members including Xavier Woods who came down to try and make a save.

RESULT: The New Day wins via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: This match lasted about 4 minutes. But I have a feeling they'll have a longer match at SummerSlam.

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: Cesaro vs. Sheamus

This match was set up by the GM, Mick Foley. Whoever "impresses" the GM the most will get a title opportunity at the US Title, I presume.

RESULT: Cesaro wins via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: These two are certainly underrated so far in this "New Era" but they are impressive nonetheless. Cesaro needs gold.

*Commercial Break*

PROMO (In-Ring): Heath Slater is in the ring with Jinder Mahal.. The ex 3MB members are upset they aren't on either show, and they are interrupted by Mick Foley. Mick is a little surprised these two are here because they aren't on the roster. He says they need to have a Battle of The Band. Jinder vs. Heath. Heath says no, but Mick says the Raw roster is stacked but they have one spot left and whoever eins gets the contract.

MATCH: Heath Slater vs. Jinder Mahal

While Heath is preaching that nothing can come between the two of them, Jinder hits a super kick and pins Heath for the Raw roster spot.

RESULT: Jinder Mahal wins via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: What?

PROMO (Backstage): Tom Philips asks Y2J if he thinks he may be a marked man after Cass came after him. Jericho says he isn't worried because they are stupid idiots. He says that he has someone who will watch his back like Cass. Tom asks who is backing him up. It is obvious Jericho made that up and his name is Jimmin Marvinhooter. KO comes in and says that is a made up person, but not to worry he has Y2J's back. New team? KO and Jericho connection?

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: Sami Zayn vs. Seth Rollins

RESULT: Seth Rollins wins via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: You knew this would be good when it was announced. Both of these guys are the epitome of 5 stars in the ring. They did not disappoint.

*Commercial Break*

PROMO (In-Ring): Paul Heyman and his beast, Brock Lesnar, is back on Monday Night Raw. Paul Heyman is a freaking master of his profession. The rule of the Brocktagon and the Viper Slayer is making his first appearance since his performance enhancing "scandal". Heyman says that at SummerSlam, his client will entertain. Not our type of entertainment, but his kind. A violent kind. He is here to make an impact on the "New Era", but he doesn't need to move up any sort of ladder or impress anyone because he is Brock Lesnar. He finally brings up Randy Orton, saying that he has been told that Randy is one RKO away from changing the course of history but he has no clue how Randy gets those ideas. "Maybe the voices in his head." quoting his entrance song. He then pleads with Randy saying Lesnar is going to kick his ass at SummerSlam, and he is going to Suplex City. He has no chance at winning, but has a chance at survival. Paul Heyman says that he will never hit an RKO on the Beast, but then literally out of nowhere Orton hits an RKO!!! He's on Raw! He hits his RKO and out comes Mick and Stephanie as he runs through the crowd. Mick and Steph pleading to get him out of the arena. Literally that RKO and Randy Orton comes from nowhere. What a badass moment.
