WWE NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 2016 Spoilers

NXT Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Since the Nakamura vs Balor match already happened and Balor was called up to the main roster, that meant that this was the obvious option. As far as the winner goes, we're all pretty much in the dark in regards to WWE's plans for the brand extension's future. There's a very good chance Nakamura becomes champion to allow Samoa Joe to move up, but just as much of an opportunity for Joe to retain. Nakamura has the momentum to be champion and I don't think he's moving up to the main roster just yet, whereas Joe I think might be coming to Raw or SmackDown. One way or another, this should be an interesting match, and I'm looking forward to it.

PREDICTION: Shinsuke Nakamura is your new NXT champion.

NXT Women's Championship: Asuka (c) vs. Bayley

Meh...I don't know about this, either. I don't really have any interest in seeing this happen again. Bayley needs to stay on the main roster and Asuka isn't really super fun as a champion in my mind, and we've already had this match before, so this is just kind of blah.

PREDICTION: Asuka retains.

NXT Tag Team Championship: The Revival (c) vs. Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano

I didn't think The Revival would get those belts back from American Alpha, but once they did, it seemed as though TM-61 and Ciampa/Gargano were the only two babyface teams left to answer the call. I don't have a lot of faith that new champions will be crowned, either, particularly as Ciampa and Gargano faced off in the Cruiserweight Classic. I'm leaning toward a heel turn for Ciampa either during or after the match (probably after, with Gargano losing and Ciampa blaming him).

PREDICTION: The Revival keeps the belts.

Bobby Roode vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas

My money is on Roode winning, but it's weird that Almas would lose so quickly after his debut, isn't it? Maybe he isn't in a position to be that high up just yet, and this is WWE's means of giving him a loss before he reaches a point where it would hurt him more.

PREDICTION: Bobby Roode wins.

Austin Aries vs. No Way Jose

Meh. I'm not too high on No Way Jose, but I don't hate the guy either. Austin Aries is someone I think should be on the main roster already, but I also somewhat think that it makes sense to keep him down in NXT to not make the roster completely devoid of stars.

PREDICTION: Austin Aries wins.

Ember Moon vs. Billie Kay

There's no way Ember Moon loses her debut. They're making her to be too much of a big deal, and the newcomers always tend to win in NXT (and in WWE in general), so Billie Kay will be taking the loss for sure.

PREDICTION: Ember Moon will impress and Billie Kay will continue to be an undervalued talent.
