WWE Survivor Series 2016 Results

Two matches are announced for later on in the pre-show when there are actually people in the audience: Kane vs. Luke Harper and a six-man tag team match with the cruiserweights. More on that in a bit.

Backstage, Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella are talking to Charlotte and Dana Brooke about how their respective teams will win. Nothing groundbreaking here.

Kevin Owens is in the social media lounge with Tom Phillips. He calls Chris Jericho to join them. This is great stuff. They're just firing on all cylinders making Tom struggle not to laugh. "Tom is French for dumb moron."

6-Man Tag Team Match: Rich Swann, TJ Perkins & Noam Dar vs. Drew Gulak, Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari

RESULTS: Team Babyface wins with Swann pinning Daivari.
THOUGHTS: Nothing you couldn't skip, but like any cruiserweight match, it was fun.

Dasha Fuentes talks to Kalisto about his upcoming match against Brian Kendrick.

Kane vs. Luke Harper

RESULTS: Kane via pinfall after a chokeslam.
THOUGHTS: This didn't keep my attention at all.

Women's Elimination Match: Team Raw (Charlotte, Bayley, Sasha Banks, Nia Jax & Alicia Fox) vs. Team SmackDown (Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, Carmella, Naomi & Natalya)

Nikki Bella was attacked behind the scenes, so Natalya replaces her (which of course casts suspicion on her having been the one that attacked her to begin with).

Carmella is eliminated by Alicia Fox.
Alicia Fox is eliminated by Alexa Bliss.
Naomi is counted out.
Sasha Banks is eliminated by Natalya.
Natalya is eliminated by Charlotte.
Nia Jax is eliminated by Becky Lynch.
Alexa Bliss is eliminated by Charlotte.
Becky Lynch is eliminated by Bayley.

RESULTS: Bayley and Charlotte survive as Team Raw wins.
THOUGHTS: Good match with some surprises I didn't see coming.

Immediately after the match, Charlotte assaults Bayley.

Backstage, James Ellsworth is approached by Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, who pick on him. Mick Foley tells them to buzz off and offers Ellsworth a spot on Raw, but he turns it down as he bleeds blue. Ellsworth bumps into Braun Strowman, so he runs away. Smart idea.

Intercontinental Championship Match: The Miz (c) vs. Sami Zayn

RESULTS: The Miz retains via pinfall after Maryse causes a distraction by ringing the bell.
THOUGHTS: Super glad he retained, as I wanted the championship to stay on SmackDown.

Backstage, AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose start arguing about how they'll beat each other up at TLC. Shane McMahon tells them to knock it off at least for tonight.

Tag Team Elimination Match: Team Raw (The New Day, Enzo Amore & Big Cass, Cesaro & Sheamus, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, and The Shining Stars) vs. Team SmackDown (Heath Slater & Rhyno, American Alpha, The Usos, The Hype Bros, and Breezango)

Breezango is eliminated almost immediately when Big E pins Fandango.
The New Day is eliminated almost immediately after that when Kofi Kingston is pinned.
The Hype Bros are eliminated when Zack Ryder is pinned by Luke Gallows.
The Shining Stars are eliminated by American Alpha.
American Alpha is eliminated by Gallows and Anderson.
Gallows and Anderson are eliminated when Rhyno pins Gallows.
Slater and Rhyno are eliminated by Enzo.
Enzo and Cass are eliminated by The Usos.
The Usos are eliminated by Cesaro.

RESULTS: Team Raw wins with Cesaro and Sheamus as the sole surviving duo.
THOUGHTS: Who booked this? What's up with The New Day being taken out so fast and such?

After the match, Cesaro goes for a handshake and Sheamus snubs him.

Backstage, Stephanie and Foley are celebrating. They decide to give Cesaro and Sheamus a tag title match against The New Day tomorrow night on Raw. I swear, if The New Day loses those belts before they pass the record, I'll be so pissed.

Cruiserweight Championship Match: Brian Kendrick (c) vs. Kalisto

RESULTS: Brian Kendrick wins via disqualification after Baron Corbin comes out to interfere.
THOUGHTS: Huh? So now the cruiserweight division is going to wrestle after SmackDown but they're still on the Raw roster? And Corbin was too injured to wrestle but he could interfere here?

Backstage, Daniel Bryan scolds Baron Corbin, who says he doesn't want any more little pests like Kalisto around.

Survivor Series Elimination Match: Team Raw (Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman) vs. Team SmackDown (AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton and Shane McMahon)

Dean Ambrose is eliminated by Braun Strowman.
Braun Strowman is eliminated by count out when James Ellsworth holds him back.
Kevin Owens is eliminated by disqualification after using Jericho's list on AJ Styles.
Chris Jericho is eliminated by Randy Orton after an RKO.
Shane McMahon is eliminated after being speared by Roman Reigns. (Shane looks injured)
AJ Styles is eliminated after The Shield reunites to powerbomb him.
Seth Rollins is eliminated by Bray Wyatt after an RKO.
Roman Reigns is eliminated by Bray Wyatt.

RESULTS: Team SmackDown wins with Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt as the survivors.
THOUGHTS: The right team won and this match was a lot of fun, especially the stuff with Strowman.

Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar

RESULTS: Goldberg completely squashes Lesnar.
THOUGHTS: WTF???
