WWE NXT TakeOver: Dallas 2016 Results

Our pre-show panel consists of Renee Young, Lita and Mauro Ranallo. Digging this combination. We also get our first look at the newest member of the broadcasting team, Cathy Kelley. Very cute, well spoken enough. Thumbs up for her, too.

NXT Tag Team Championship: The Revival (c) vs. American Alpha

RESULTS: Jason Jordan and Chad Gable defeat Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder to win the belts via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Couple funky spots, but this was a great match to start the show off. Very happy with the outcome.

Jim Ross, Michelle Beadle, Funaki and Kota Ibushi are in the crowd.

Austin Aries vs. Baron Corbin

RESULTS: Austin Aries via pinfall (roll-up)
THOUGHTS: Not as good as I was hoping it would be, but I'm okay with it. The outcome was something that I'm not too keen on but not complaining about, either. It makes sense for it to end that way with how outmatched Aries was, but how he's also the smarter competitor.

Sami Zayn vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

RESULTS: Shinsuke Nakamura via pinfall
THOUGHTS: Very good match. Nice showing for both guys, as Zayn did his job putting Nakamura over but while still maintaining his own credibility.

NXT Women's Championship: Bayley (c) vs. Asuka

RESULTS: Asuka wins the belt via submission (Asuka Lock)
THOUGHTS: Good match that was in a spot where it was hard to follow the previous one. I'll admit that I didn't think this was as good as I was hoping it would be, but that's not to take anything away from it.

NXT Championship: Finn Balor (c) vs. Samoa Joe

RESULTS: Finn Balor via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Disappointed Joe didn't win the belt, but I enjoyed the match, even with the trainers stopping it often to check on Joe. A lot of people will complain about that, but I think it added something interesting to the mix.
