SmackDown WWE Elimination Chamber 2017 Spoilers

WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match: John Cena (c) vs. AJ Styles vs. Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Baron Corbin

I really don't understand WWE's logic sometimes and that applies to using the Elimination Chamber for a title match instead of determining the #1 contender as well as why they think it's a good idea to give Cena the title at the Royal Rumble just to take it away 2 weeks later and give it to Bray Wyatt of all people. That's what I'm expecting to happen here and I'm not into it in the slightest bit. Randy Orton as the Royal Rumble winner confuses me as I don't think his feud with Wyatt is good enough to justify putting the WWE Championship in the mix. They could have had a midcard feud and it would have been perfectly fine. Ugh......

PREDICTION: Please have something weird happen so we don't get Randy Orton OR Bray Wyatt in the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania....

Nikki Bella vs. Natalya

This appears to be a regular singles match. I'm disappointed in that, as I kind of wanted a Falls Count Anywhere stipulation. Blah. At least the feud has gone on long enough to justify putting the match on the card. Here's hoping it's solid.

PREDICTION: Nikki Bella wins.

SmackDown Tag Team Championship Tag Team Turmoil Match: American Alpha (c) vs. The Usos vs. The Ascension vs. The Vaudevillains vs. Breezango vs. Heath Slater and Rhyno

Nobody was properly set up to be good enough to challenge American Alpha, so EVERYBODY is challenging them instead. That means we have basically the entire roster in this match and the Elimination Chamber match. I'm fine with that, though. This could be a lot of fun. Don't be surprised if Simon Gotch is the first person eliminated.

PREDICTION: American Alpha retains.

SmackDown Women's Championship Match: Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Naomi

Naomi is totally being fed to Bliss, but I'm glad she's getting a title shot. After all these years, it's ridiculous she's never been given a single championship reign, so I hope it'll happen somewhere down the line, but I have no faith at all that it will happen here.

PREDICTION: Alexa Bliss retains.

Mickie James vs. Becky Lynch

It was an inevitability that these two would fight, but as far as the winner goes, it could really be one or the other. I'm 50/50 on it as I can see the benefits for both of them coming out on top. In any scenario, I think this could be a really good match as they're both great, so I'm looking forward to it.

PREDICTION: Mickie James is victorious.

Handicap Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Apollo Crews and Kalisto

For their sake, they'd better have Kalisto and Apollo Crews win. If the two of them together can't beat Dolph Ziggler, it will make them look like shit unless they really follow through with a push for Dolph, but I doubt that will happen as they never tend to do that. Either have the duo win, which is logical, or at least push Ziggler quite a bit afterward so in two months or so, we don't look back and go "pft, Kalisto/Crews couldn't even beat Ziggler together so why should we care about either of them?" I assume this will be relegated to the pre-show.

PREDICTION: Kalisto and Apollo Crews win.

Randy Orton vs. Luke Harper

This hasn't been officially announced yet, but Harper put out the challenge, so I have to imagine it will take place. This would be a means to have Orton wrestle on the card and give Harper something to do as well. Orton beats Harper to make him look stronger heading into WrestleMania.

PREDICTION: Orton wins.

Pre-Show Kickoff Match: Mojo Rawley vs. Curt Hawkins

GOOD! I've been saying for months now that these two should feud as an undercard match to tie them into Zack Ryder having been both of their partners and it looks like that might finally happen. In the grand scheme of things, this isn't important, but it's a way to utilize both guys and to give us a pre-show match instead of having the whole thing be promos and interviews, so I'm fully on board with watching it.

PREDICTION: Mojo Rawley wins.

PREDICTED MATCHES (as of 2/10/2017)

I don't think we'll be getting any more matches on the card other than what has been announced already.
