WWE Elimination Chamber 2017 Results

Nothing special is going on with the pre-show that needs to be reported on. Sam Roberts is a special guest. Carmella shows up to make an appearance on the card but doesn't say anything noteworthy.

Kickoff Match: Mojo Rawley vs. Curt Hawkins

RESULT: Mojo Rawley wins via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: You can skip this. It wasn't good.

Becky Lynch vs. Mickie James

RESULT: Becky Lynch via pinfall
THOUGHTS: Meh, this was alright, but I honestly thought it would have been better than what it was.

Backstage, Carmella and James Ellsworth are watching the event and eating popcorn. Dasha Fuentes interviews them and Carmella says the wrong woman won the previous match.

2-on-1 Handicap Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Apollo Crews & Kalisto

Dolph Ziggler attacks Kalisto during his entrance, so this effectively turns into a regular one-on-one match. Ziggler basically keeps Crews in a headlock for a good portion of it. Kalisto comes back out and ends up winning the match for his team.

RESULT: Kalisto and Apollo Crews win.
THOUGHTS: Lame and boring.

After the match, Ziggler flips out and attacks them both with a chair.

SmackDown Tag Team Championship Tag Team Turmoil Match: American Alpha (c) vs. Heath Slater and Rhyno vs. The Usos vs. Breezango vs. THe Ascension vs. The Vaudevillains

Breezango are eliminated by Heath Slater and Rhyno
The Vaudevillains are eliminated by Heath Slater and Rhyno
Heath Slater and Rhyno are eliminated by The Usos
The Usos are eliminated by American Alpha (Jimmy and Jey attack Gable and Jordan before The Ascension come out)
The Ascension are eliminated by American Alpha

RESULT: American Alpha retain the titles.
THOUGHTS: Best match so far. I'm glad to see The Ascension looked somewhat decent to keep this momentum going, but I'm even more glad American Alpha retained.

Nikki Bella vs. Natalya

RESULT: Double count-out.
THOUGHTS: Eh...it was okay. The double count-out is kind of annoying but I really don't care enough to be too bothered by it overall.

Dasha asks Carmella and James their thoughts on the previous match and they're not too fond of that one, either.

Luke Harper vs. Randy Orton

RESULT: Randy Orton via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: We all saw this coming. Not a bad match, though.

Backstage, Renee Young interviews Nikki Bella. Natalya attacks her. They bump into Maryse and she gets powder on her. This really better not be the catalyst for the Miz/Maryse vs. Cena/Nikki feud that was rumored...

SmackDown Women's Championship Match: Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Naomi

RESULT: Naomi wins the title.
THOUGHTS: Very surprised. I prefer Bliss, but it's nice to see Naomi FINALLY win the title.

Backstage, Dasha talks one more time to Carmella and James Ellsworth in another kind of pointless quick segment.

WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match: John Cena (c) vs. Baron Corbin vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz vs. AJ Styles

Baron Corbin is eliminated by Dean Ambrose
Dean Ambrose is eliminated by The Miz
The Miz is eliminated by John Cena
John Cena is eliminated by Bray Wyatt
AJ Styles is eliminated by Bray Wyatt

RESULT: Bray Wyatt becomes the new WWE champion
THOUGHTS: Good match but I hate the outcome as it confirms what I wasn't looking forward to.
