Posted by Ben Guest - Saturday, January 30, 2016

Welcome to another edition of Power Rankings from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for one's self, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

25. Darren Young

Darren Young lost the fatal 4-way tag match on the Royal Rumble kickoff show.

24. R-Truth

R-Truth had a promo on Raw where he thought Goldust was coming on to him. Yeah, it was weird. He also entered the Royal Rumble thinking it was the Money in the Bank ladder match. Usually, I don't like his 'forgetful' gimmick, but this was hilarious.

Mark Henry won the match on the Royal Rumble kickoff show, but lasted less than a minute in the Rumble itself.

22. Jack Swagger

See above. Swagger then lost against Kevin Owens on Main Event.

17. Social Outcasts

The Social Outcasts lost against the Dudley Boyz on Raw and Curtis Axel lost on SmackDown. Heath Slater also entered the Royal Rumble

16. Chris Jericho

Jericho lasted over 50 minutes in the Royal Rumble. Jericho then lost on Raw and beat The Wyatt Family by DQ on SmackDown.

The Future of Sami Zayn in WWE and NXT

Posted by Unknown - Friday, January 29, 2016

He's that guy with the ridiculously catchy theme song, the man who can pull off a tornado DDT through the bottom rope, and an indie darling by many rights. He's Sami Zayn, and he's finally back!

El Generico ROH wrestler

After suffering an injury months ago while facing John Cena for his United States Championship, Sami Zayn returned to NXT. On December 23rd, he defeated NXT jobber Tye Dillinger, proving that while he may have been down, he certainly wasn't counted out of World Wrestling Entertainment just yet. However, this has placed Sami Zayn in somewhat of a unique situation.

On one hand, Sami Zayn was injured during his debut match on Raw, leading many to think he should pick up where he left off. On the other, Sami Zayn has been gone for quite some time, and may need the rub of some competitive NXT matches before once again making the leap to the main roster. If the latter route is the one that WWE chooses to pursue, when will our fateful hero finally be competing with the likes of John Cena and the other Raw/SmackDown talent again?

Do It Now!

El Generico Throws Kevin Steen WWE Battle Royal

Okay. To anyone who's ever seen Sami Zayn in the ring, it's abundantly clear that he's got mad skills. Years spent working for Ring of Honor and other indie scene promotions have certainly helped him to hone his craft.

Then there's the Royal Rumble match. Entering at number 20, Sami Zayn quickly made an impact on the match when he briefly reignited his feud with Kevin Owens. Owens, who had just eliminated fellow indie star, AJ Styles, gained rapid heat from the Florida crowd. And then out came Sami Zayn, who charged the ring and brought it to Owens, sending the prizefighter over the top rope and out of the match.

Speaking of the Rumble, why do you think he was there in the first place? Yeah, Zayn is great in the ring, but over the past year, WWE has seen a plethora of injuries, including the aforementioned John Cena, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Cesaro, Sting, and the list goes on and on and on. WWE was short on talent for the third biggest pay-per-view of the year, and it came down to Sami Zayn to bring forth some much-appreciated star power. With all of these stars, still on the shelf, will WWE need his services again quicker than they expected?

Slow and Steady Wins the Race.

NXT Triple Threat Contender

Option two: Stay down in NXT for a little while and rebuild his momentum in the WWE. This gives him the chance to feud with some of NXT's finest that he hasn't run across yet, such as Finn Bálor, Samoa Joe, and Baron Corbin. It seems like this is a direction that he'll be headed in for at least a little while.

Two weeks ago, William Regal announced a triple threat number one contender's match between Zayn, Joe, and Corbin. On the past episode of NXT, the fate of the number one contender slot was left up in the air when Sami Zayn and Samoa Joe double submitted Baron Corbin, entrenching Zayn in the title hunt for at least the time being.

Along that same vein, Sami Zayn has the potential to be the very first two-time NXT Champion. This would be an exciting prospect given that champions usually jump ship to the main roster once they drop the belt. More so, Zayn is currently history's shortest reigning champion, and this would allow him to have just a little more time with a belt.

Can I Go Now?

Pro Wrestling Icon Celebrates NXT Wrestler

Now here's the question really worth asking: When will Sami Zayn re-debut on the Raw roster? Let's reflect.

Sami Zayn can do it now, leaving his main event NXT feud behind. After eliminating Kevin Owens from the royal rumble, it makes the most sense for him to pick up a feud with the Prizefighter. Plus, Kevin Owens was the man who originally defeated Zayn for the NXT Championship, and it would provide fans with some beautiful closure to see Sami Zayn come out on top this time.

On the flip side, there is the ongoing title hunt down in NXT. Sami Zayn can continue to have excellent matches with the talent that's there, building towards an epic match against the champion himself, Finn Bálor. Whether he wins or not is another story.

Book It

Generico Hits Pac Professional Wrestling Promo

This is how I would have it all play out. Sami Zayn eventually wins a title shot against Finn Bálor. During their title contest, Kevin Owens interferes, costing Sami Zayn the title after a near-victory. This will occur before Fastlane.

At Fastlane, Owens goes one-on one with AJ Styles, whom he eliminated from the Royal Rumble. As things begin to look bleak for Styles, Sami Zayn's music plays and he comes out to watch the remainder of the match. Styles sneaks a small package and Owens is pinned. A livid Owens yells at Zayn from the ring post-match. In the weeks prior to WrestleMania, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens reignite their intense rivalry, each playing mind games with one another while bulldozing lesser talent.

Then there's the match itself. It would be hard-fought and WWE would dedicate at least 15 minutes to the contest. I expect this to show up around the middle of WrestleMania's card, and it will culminate with Sami Zayn picking up the win over Kevin Owens.

So what do you think lies in the cards for Sami Zayn? Will he join the Raw roster sooner than I thought? Will he stay down in NXT for an even longer period of time? Feel free to leave a comment below, and let us know.

Cheap Pop & Cheap Heat of the Week in Wrestling: 1/28/2016

Posted by Ross K. Foad - Thursday, January 28, 2016

Welcome to another edition of Cheap Pop and Cheap Heat from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we break down the world of professional wrestling and examine two of the polar opposite ends of the spectrum: one thing that was by far the worst thing (Cheap Heat) and the best thing (Cheap Pop) to happen over the past 7 days in sports entertainment. So, what went down this week that we loved and hated about the business?

babyface Cheap Pop professional wrestling WWE Cheap Heat heel

CHEAP POP OF THE WEEK:
A ROYAL SHOWING

Sunday's Royal Rumble was an excellent event. The end of the Royal Rumble was real edge of the seat nail-biting stuff, not to discount what else took place during the event. In fact, I would be hard pressed to pick the greatest POP for the week based on it, but the fact I have so much material to choose from is a very positive sign.

Instead, here are a few of my greatest POP's for the night.

Triple H wins the Rumble.

Ok, for those that follow this column, you will know that I am a Triple H fanboy. I am probably one of the few people that always want The Authority to win. Always. This was a great call, in my opinion—albeit not the most unpredictable outcome. This is likely setting up a Triple H vs. Roman Reigns match at WrestleMania, which if anything like the Rumble encounter, I shall await with anticipation.

AJ Styles Debuts.

Quick confession here—the staff at Smark Out Moment and Mega Powers Radio had our own draw for the Rumble. The number you drew was your entrant in the Royal Rumble. I drew the number 3, hence, AJ Styles was my representative. But regardless of this; I still would have been cheering him on anyway. Well done to WWE for signing, and well done to AJ Styles for a bloody good showing.

Sami Zayn Returns.

It's Sami Zayn! Need I go on?

R Truth's Bad

Ok, you got me WWE. I didn't see R-Truth pulling off his "my bad" joke in the midst of a Rumble.
Nicely done.

The Final Two

Having the final two as Dean Ambrose and Triple H was great! One would have expected that it would have been Roman Reigns and Triple H, but avoiding this obvious setup made for a much more dynamic ending.

Overall? One of the best Royal Rumbles in years.

CHEAP HEAT OF THE WEEK:
MISSING IN ACTION

In contrast to my vast pop selection, I really do not have too many gripes this week, but one thing that bothered me was how protected Roman Reigns was in the Royal Rumble.

WWE cannot afford to lose any more superstars to injury, but having Roman Reigns taken out for half of the Rumble was an obvious ploy to keep him rested for the final stages.

Had they done this and had him won, I think we might have had some backlash ala Royal Rumble 2015, but thankfully, WWE was smart enough to not go down that road. Nevertheless, if the game plan has always been to make Roman Reigns look strong, this really was a strange way to go.

Mailbag Inbox Q&A - January 2016

Posted by Anthony Mango

Latest WWE Inbox Episode Questions and Answers Smark Out Moment
Do you have a question that you want to ask the minds over at Smark Out Moment? Our version of the WWE Inbox is the Smark Out Moment Mailbag. Once a month, we set aside some time to answer any of the questions on your mind, whether they be wrestling related, trivia to try to stump us, or just general questions to get to know Tony Mango and the other members of the team better.

Here are your submissions for this month:

Sent in from BenderFilms

Question: "In the late 80's to mid 90's, many wrestlers had moves that just don't hold up today, and are now just regular moves! (DDT, Leg Drop, etc.) The question is, who is someone from that era that had a finisher that looks just as devastating and good as it did "back in the day"?"

Answer: The Sharpshooter still holds up for me. That's the first that comes to my mind. The spinebuster is still cool, too.

Question: "If you were a wrestler, what would your gimmick be, attire look like, and move set be (assuming you have amazing athletic ability and can do whatever moves you want), and what "era" would you wrestle in??? Thanks for reading, love the content. Keep it up."

Answer: Thanks Bender! We've answered this before in the past, but to refresh my answer, I still think I'd be somewhat of a suited up Chris Jericho type of heel and I'd probably want to be in the current era.

Sent in from Declan McAree

Question: "I went back to early 2014 and watched every Smalk Talk episode from then on. I got to the WM32 review and Wago said that at the time he thought WM32 was the best of all time but that 6-9 months later he may have a different opinion. Looking back on it what do you guys think of WM32 and do you guys still think that it could potentially be classed as the best Wrestlemania ever."

Answer: Do you mean WrestleMania 30 from 2014 or 31 from 2015? Either way, I think they both hold up to a good extent, but I don't know if I'd rank either of them as the best ever. That would take a lot of deep thinking and a tournament to force me to pick. I'd have to rewatch some of them, too.

Sent in from Peter Piccininni

Question: "I need to have a short prolog before my question. So I am diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome ASD I also have ADHD. Fun fact Sasha Banks brother is also Autistic. Motor and sensory perception failed at wrestling. Social interaction my social disorder reason I don't call up as much as should Monday night. One part of my brain may be closed, but I think the part of mind most people can't access is creative. The reason I believe I come up with insane ideas I post in The Mega Maniacs group. I haven't seen my friends since that Summerslam that Bryan won and lost the gold. I mean I had my class and work acquaintancesbut not my real friends. So thanks for being my friends because after I came to Mega Maniacs group you were no longer celebrities, but my friends. So my questions any opion change on me? I think you'll say we don't care I feel I'm well like on Mega Maniacs without this knowledge and next week if this is the week before the rumble I'd be listening for a year. Also anything you want to say about Autism or Asperger Syndrome. Also do you know other than me another ASD wrestler or am I the only one?"

Answer: As far as myself (and I think I can speak for the others as well), that doesn't change my opinion at all. I (we) definitely love having all you guys around supporting us, keeping the conversation going, and goofing off in The Mega Maniacs and in the comments and whatnot. It's a lot of fun. Thanks for sticking with us for a full year, too! As far as the autism / AS side of the question, I'm not too familiar with all that much in regards to them, nor do I know anyone in the wrestling industry that is involved, but if you're the only one out there, kudos man!

Question: "I think I missed some points. Matt Morgan, Little Egypt from GLOW and claims Rowdy Piper have ADHD too. I never use any of the above as crutch except when I still want to meet a celebrity. Paden your my favorite Peyton, Paden now. P.S have many questions for next months, but was only going to ask the first one because of the seriousness. But tonight is the Rumble I lost connection like almost every time. If anyone and I feel not was offended by my cursing we're grow up I was mad. This a lot and is a reason I stopped watching NXT some Takeovers didn't play and lost touch with it. This buffering or loading please wait happens at a lot of PPVs. I really only use the Network for PPV and show every now and then. Me and Mom think my room is a dead zone. When I posted that I was kindly saying tonight that complaining to clear that up. I bought and a new TV for the PPV and have a new Roku for it so I can't really move because the Roku can't connect to other TV and I'd rather not watch on my phone. I'm not complaining I'm just very annoyed. So my question does this happen to you guys? Is this a WWE or my internet problem? Any suggestions any help would be great. This may or may not be solved by now never know what I'll find on the web but any thoughts thanks guys"

Answer: Don't feel bad about cursing. We do it all the time (probably too much). During the Royal Rumble, a couple of us suffered some hiccups and on my end, we had to actually restart our feed completely, which is definitely annoying as hell during something timed like that. It could be an internet issue if it happens very consistently, so you should check your connections with SpeedTest and talk to your ISP if those levels aren't right. Otherwise, it could just be the WWE Network itself, and in that case, I don't think there's anything any of us can do about it but complain to WWE directly with their feedback services.

Sent in from AwesomePianoMan

Question: "I'm hungry for some cheese pizza. Where should I go?"

Answer: The Pizza Belt! Just not Papa Johns.

Sent in from Morrosupremo

Question: "Pitch in your opinion the best WrestleMania 32 card with the active superstars without injuries that you have?"

Answer: Stay tuned for the upcoming Fantasy Booking of WrestleMania 32!

Sent in from June Rider

Question: "Will Smark Out Moment ever do a retro review? Say that you pick a particular match from the past and you guys talk about your opinions on the feud, what could've been done to make it better, and then finally the match itself. You could also talk about what the feud meant for both competitors careers. I think something like this could be really cool to do every once in a while. Thanks and keep up the great work."

Answer: Thanks for the compliments, June! I definitely want to expand future editions of the Wrestling with the Past segment to incorporate more structured reviews of past events and such, so stay tuned for that.

Question: "Should wrestling focus more on the story-line aspects or should it try to feel as unpredictable as possible? In my opinion I think the WWE is a story driven sports Entertainment Company that tries to set up intriguing stories that will appeal to a mass audience, but it seems that most outside of the casual fans are losing sight of that. In their mind the WWE should try to feel as unpredictable as possible, but can that ruin an ongoing story-line? Just want to know your thoughts. Thanks and keep up the great work."

Answer: More than anything, I think there needs to be a balance. Storyline should take precedent over pure shock value, cause once that initial surprise is over, you need to deal with the consequences. Sure, it would be crazy and unpredictable to see someone like Heath Slater win the Royal Rumble, but how would you then realistically build up to WrestleMania? Each surprise should be weighted on how much staying power it has and those shocks should be used to mix things up once in a while and keep the fans on their toes, but never just to get a response for the sake of getting a response. A proper storyline executed in the right way is always the best even if it's predictable.

Sent in from The Silent Wind of Doom

Question: "If you could make a stable of wrestlers in the style of Social Outcasts, made out of the most underappreciated or just the best jobber wrestlers of all time, what four would you pick?"

Answer: Barry Horowitz, Virgil, Gillberg, and Brooklyn Brawler.

Question: "We got the new nicknames "Heathy Baby" and "Red Dragon" for Heath Slater. What is your proposed new nickname for him?"

Answer: Hearsay Heath Slater.

Question: "The Rock says Lana told him Rusev smells like rotten testacles. Looking at Rusev, what do you think he smells like?"

Answer: Potatoes.

All I can say is... Oh my God. The Royal Rumble delivered and then some. Every single match on the card was phenomenal and had almost too many memorable moments. Just kidding, there is no such as too many memorable moments. Sasha Banks is back, but most importantly.. Entering at number three was AJ Styles! Although he did not win it was enough for him to be there. You're winner was.. The number 30 entrant... Triple H by eliminating Dean Ambrose! I love it. I freaking love it. It was kind of easy to predict, but I love it. Be prepared for some good stuff with HHH holding the belt! Other match victors were, Dean Ambrose retaining his Intercontinental Title against Kevin Owens in a brutal Last Man Standing match. The New Day retaining their Tag Team Championship, Kalisto winning the United States Championship from Alberto Del Rio, and Charlotte successfully defending her Divas Championship with help from her decrepit father against Becky Lynch. But was then quickly attacked by Sasha Banks. To me, this was one of the best PPV's they've done in a long time! Be prepared for some fallout tonight!

PROMO: The opening promo of the night belongs to Vince McMahon! This Raw has a lot of momentum riding on it, so its only fitting we start with the boss! He is accompanied by his darling daughter of course. Mr. McMahon says he's feeling "damn good" for obvious reasons. Celebrating that they "broke" Roman Reigns and "pierced his heart and ripped his title away". Vince says that he did what everyone does when broken, tuck your tail and run. Saying "once your broken, you stay that way". But then he says that he has a confession to make. He confesses that he loves the misfortune and misery of others. Saying that's why he loves the WWE Universe because we are all broken. Steph chimes in saying that "if you want something done you have to do it yourself, and last night that exactly what we did". She just mentioned AJ Styles, who made his debut last night like the amazingness that he is. As the crowd chants "AJ Styles" Mr. McMahon says "I don't care who you are. Whenever you are in this ring you end up at the bottom of my shoes." Stephanie then goes on to praise the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, her husband, Triple H. Then introduces him as he comes out to the ring. I absolutely love HHH holding the title. He comes out rocking his suit and tie, and unbuttons it to show the belt. 14x champ, and in my opinion the right guy has the belt right now. The nostalgia is killing me. I'm waiting for Batista to come out and challenge him like the good ol' days. HHH starts off by saying Reigns could be the best athlete he has ever seen, but today he is not. Because he lacks respect. Stating he is cocky and arrogant. He just couldn't put up with his disrespect for Vince. He says the fans were right when they say he does not need to be champ, but he sure as hell wants to be champ. He says until someone learns some respect, he is going to be the champion and there is not a thing anyone can do about it. As the fans boo, he says that's the disrespect that he is talking about. Then Stephanie brings up WrestleMania and who will face her husband. She says that tonight they will evaluate everyone in action and then they will determine the main event of the next PPV, FastLane. The winner of that main event match at FastLane will face HHH in the main event at WrestleMania.

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: Dolph Ziggler vs. Kevin Owens

Both men quickly go outside the ring, but it ends poorly for Dolph as he is sent into the barricade. Owens stays on the attack. Dolph gets a quick reversal and lands a drop kick and rolls out of the ring.

*Commercial Break*

We come back with Kevin Owens controlling the match. Ziggler goes for a super kick off a reversal but its caught, then Ziggler gets the step on KO and throws him into the steel post shoulder first and hits a Famouser for a two-count. He then locks in a sleeper hold. Owens breaks out, but eats a super kick for his trouble for a two-count. Ziggler takes Owens to the top rope, but Owens fights out and pushes him right off the top. KO then hits a pop-up power bomb out of nowhere for a big win.

RESULT: Kevin Owens wins via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: Good match! If anyone deserves to be in the main event at FastLane its KO. He's been on fire ever since he stepped into WWE. A natural.

PROMO: Jojo is backstage and asks Roman about Vinces' earlier comments. Roman says its ridiculous and asks Jojo to tell Vince and HHH that he is there, and won't be leaving until he hears the announcement later tonight.

*Commercial Break*

PROMO: The Social Outcasts are in the ring. I also love these guys. Entertainment value like crazy. Heath Slater points out Flo Rida sitting front row at the show tonight. Heath tells him to sit there and not to make him mad. Adam Rose then says that Flo upset Heath, and that's not good. Bo Dallas then calls out Flo into the ring to fight them, and in the ring he goes. Heath says he really does not want to hurt him, but he will challenge him to a rap battle. Heath then introduces Flo Rida to... Bo Rida! Bo Dallas.. Who drops some super sick rhymes. Honestly.. Bo Rida may have won the rap battle because Flo SUCKED. But his last rap introduces The Social Outcasts opponents.. The Dudley Boyz!

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: The Dudley Boyz vs. The Social Outcasts

Wrestling for The Social Outcasts is Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas. I'll do my normal tag team coverage, and let you know who wins and how!

Dudleys hit a 3D for thee win on Curtis Axel!

RESULTS: The Dudley Boyz win via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: This was about as boring as it sounds.

PROMO: Renee Young is interviewing AJ Styles. She asks him "Who exactly is AJ Styles?" While he is answering Jericho interrupts. Saying Styles belongs here, but he still has to prove it against him tonight.

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho

AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho.. On Raw.. A dream match for me is coming true and I'm too excited.

A lock up starts the match, and the ref breaks it up. The two trade wrestling holds and arm drags. Jericho controlled the match with elbows and knees, but Styles hits a big running clothesline to gain momentum. Jericho however gets back on top and starts his knife inch chops. Styles is thrown on the apron, and Jericho hits a springboard drop kick to knock him down. Hard landing for Styles. After a suplex Jericho gets a one-count. Styles gets the advantage and starts his chops, but Jericho reverses and hits another drop kick from the second rope. Styles hits a surprise drop kick of his own as Jericho rolls out of the ring. Styles chases him onto the apron, but Jericho gets up and knocks his feet out from underneath him.

*Commercial Break*

When we get back from break Jericho is still in control. Styles then starts to heat up with a crazy amount of strikes, and a big suplex for a two-count. The two trade moves, and Jericho hits another huge kick for yet another two-count. Styles launches himself off the top rope with a flying elbow for a two-count. Jericho locks in the Walls of Jericho in the middle of the ring, but Styles desperately makes it to the bottom rope! Amazing match. Jericho goes for a clothesline and Styles hits that cartwheel kick to head and goes to the top rope for a splash but Jericho rolls away. Styles blocks a Lionsault, and rolls Jericho up for a pin!

After the match Styles extends his hand for a handshake. Jericho shakes it but pulls Styles back for a stare down as he tried to walk away.

RESULT: AJ Styles wins via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: THIS IS WRESTLING. Beautiful match. Even though they still haven't let him hit the Styles Clash yet, but that'll be an even bigger moment when he does now. Great great great.

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch

Sasha returned last night and attacked Charlotte after her match, and I couldn't have been happier. My girl is back!

This is a rematch of one of the best women's matches that NXT ever put on.

Becky starts off on fire here, and that's not a bad joke because of her orange hair. But Sasha quickly takes control after that. Becky and Sasha trade moves back and forth, and Becky hits a big suplex for a two-count. Sasha sets Becky up on the middle ropes and drives her knees through her for a two-count. Sasha hits her knees to the back and locks in the Bank Statement but in comes Charlotte to throw Sasha out of the ring and then takes it to Becky. Sasha hops back in the ring and attacks as well, but Charlotte makes short work of her too as she stands above both divas.

RESULT: Technically this should be Sasha winning via DQ since she was attacked first.
THOUGHTS: Good match, and a decent ending setting up for a triple threat match I'm sure.

PROMO: Goldust and R-Truth are in the back. Goldust tells Truth that he is in search for a new partner, but Truth says he is a married man.. He does not swing that way.. And walks away.. Odd.

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: Kane vs. Bray Wyatt(w The Wyatt Family)

Bray starts off with the advantage and upper hand. Kane then comes back with a drop kick to take control. Bray then hits a clubbing blow of his own to take the momentum.

*Commercial Break*

We come back with Bray still in control. This match is struggling to hold my interest, and I am a huge Bray Wyatt fan. Bray goes for his back splash, but Kane avoids it. Kane hits a clothesline and a side walk slam for a two-count. Kane preps for a chokeslam, but Wyatt reverses for a slam of his own for a two-count. Kane hits a big boot and preps for a chokeslam again. Bray rolls out of the ring, Kane follows and hits Rowan and throws Bray back in. Harper distracts Kane, Sister Abigail from Bray Wyatt gets him the win.

The Wyatts attack Kane after the match per usual. Stroman makes Kane look like a child.. It's ridiculous.

RESULT: Bray Wyatt wins via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: Like I said this struggled to hold my attention. Not much to this.

*Commercial Break*

PROMO: Earlier today a "rumor" surfaced on WWE's twitter page saying that a major star is making a return for WrestleMania season. There has been a limo in the parking garage all night and Rich Brennan is going to see if he can find out who is inside. The Miz steps out of the limo. Talk about a major let down. Then comes a TRUCK! THE ROCK! THE ROCK IS BACK! The Miz gets mad at Rocky, but Rock blows him off. Rock stops by to talk to Rick Ross, Big Show, and Lana and Rusev before making his way to the ring! There is no one better at what they do than The Rock. Its unbelievable. In the ring The Rock confirms that he will be WrestleMania! The Rock then goes off script to talk to some fans who are dressed up in the front row. Amazing. Then out to join comes.. NEW DAY! Yes! The New Day and The Rock in the same ring.. Kofi brings up the fact that he is called the peoples champion but he does not have any gold. Good points. Big E then brings up how Rock left Miami to leave LA. So many comedic moments I wish I could tell you guys. The Rock responds in true Rock fashion and brings up the "llama penises" on their heads.. Not unicorn horns. Calling Big E what would happen if the Incredible Hulk banged Steve Urkle.. The Rock then invites New Day into the ring to fight. New Day decides that the fans don't deserve it and say goodbye, but The Rock stops them. Saying that plan B is going to work and plan B is family. The Usos come out and all three men take care of New Day.

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: Paige & Natalya vs. Alicia Fox & Brie Bella

Paige picks up the pin with the Rampaige

RESULT: Paige & Natalya win via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: Basically a fill time match. A bad one at that.

*Commercial Break*

PROMO: Miz is in the ring talking about how he is tired of being interrupted.. And is then interrupted by Kalisto for a match.

MATCH: Kalisto vs. The Miz

Miz uses his frustration to start off hot, but Kalistos speed takes over. Miz uses his clear power advantage, but it is well countered by Kalistos speed. A flying cross body gets Kalisto a two-count.

*Commercial Break*

We come back with Kalisto getting beaten on pretty hard. Miz hits a clothesline for a close two-count. Miz goes up top and hits a big double axe handle for a two-count. Miz goes for a neck breaker but Kalisto gets a sneaky roll up pin for a two-count. Kalisto hits a big move off the top rope and a corkscrew after that for a two-count. A huge DDT by Miz gets him a two-count. Kalista then hits his Salida Del Sol out of nowhere for the win.

RESULTS: Kalisto wins via pin fall.
THOUGHTS: Not a bad match! Kalisto is always entertaining.

MATCH: Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns vs. Sheamus & Rusev(w League of Nations)

I will cover this like I normally cover tag matches. If anything crazy happens I'll let you know. Other than that it is who wins, and how.

Roman Reigns hits a spear on Sheamus for the win.

After the match Reigns and Ambrose power bomb Rusev through an announce table.

RESULT: Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns win via pin fall
THOUGHTS: Good and very entertaining match! I love the quick paced matches like this.

PROMO: Stephanie comes out to announce the main event at FastLane. The main event is a triple threat match. Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar. Whoever wins will go on to main event WrestleMania vs. HHH for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

My immediate reaction: Wait, so why couldn't WWE just keep the belt on Kalisto when he originally won the title?

Pre-Show Kickoff Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Royal Rumble Qualifying Match: The Dudley Boyz vs. The Ascension vs. Mark Henry & Jack Swagger vs. Darren Young & Damien Sandow

Henry does the "we the people" chant and Sandow comes out to his old gimmick. This is kind of awesome already.

RESULTS: Mark Henry and Jack Swagger via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Big fan of these two winning. The match itself was kind of shitty.

Intercontinental Championship Last Man Standing Match: Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Kevin Owens

LOL at Kevin Owens fumbling all over Michael Cole after being tossed over the commentary table. Someone in the crowd is hilarious, singing "O' Canada" and telling Owens "I feel like you're wasting your time right now" when he's setting up the tables. He also made a point to say "I like your tattoo."

RESULTS: Dean Ambrose via tables.
THOUGHTS: Fun match with an even better ending as Ambrose pushing Owens off the top rope through two tables was a good way to finish him off.

Tag Team Championship Match: The New Day (c) vs. The Usos

RESULTS: The New Day via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Meh, this match wasn't really anything to write home about.

Backstage, The Wyatt Family cut a promo about how they're going to slaughter everyone in the Royal Rumble match.

United States Championship: Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. Kalisto

RESULTS: Kalisto via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Decent match. I'm surprised at the outcome.

Backstage, Paul Heyman talks to Stephanie McMahon about how Brock Lesnar's going to win the belt and head into WrestleMania as the champion.

Divas Championship: Charlotte (c) vs. Becky Lynch

RESULTS: Charlotte via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: This was fine, and ended in a way that we all expected.

After the match, Charlotte attacks Becky Lynch. Sasha Banks comes out....and kicks Becky. She acts friendly to Charlotte and then puts her in the Bank Statement.

WWE Monday Night Raw

Becky Lynch vs Tamina

Brie and Natalya circle the ring, and Natalya takes her down with a waistlock. Natalya dropkicks her in the face, but she’s quickly taken down. Brie hits a running knee to the face for a two count. Brie elbows her in the shoulder before applying a stretch. Natalya fights up, but Brie quickly takes her down. Brie kicks her in the chest a la Daniel Bryan and taunts the crowd. Brie goes for a big kick, but Natalya ducks and applies the Sharpshooter for the win.

Match Rating: 1.75/5

-----

Becky comes out the gate firing, but Tamina uses her power to shut it down. Tamina keeps her grounded for a short time, but Becky fights up. Then Tamina slams her right back down for a two-count. Becky finally starts to come back with shots to the face, and a big kick. Then a big drop kick, and another leg drop for a two-count. Lynch takes down Tamina into the Disarmer for the submission win.

Becky then grabs a mic and says she wants a match at the Rumble. Charlotte says no, and that's she isn't handing over a match. But Becky takes it to Ric and Charlotte both on the mic. Ric then accepts the match for Charlotte and she is not happy about it.

Match Rating: 2.25/5

TNA Impact Wrestling

Awesome Kong vs Gail Kim

Kong shoves Gail repeatedly as the match starts and then pie faces her to the mat before bullying her in the corner with some wicked strikes. Kong hits an Awesome Splash in the corner and then she hits a Spinning Sleeper Slam. Kong puts Gail in a Camel Clutch before slamming her face into the mat. Kong whips Gail into the corner and attempts another Awesome Splash but Gail escapes through the ropes only for Kong to lay her out again causing Gail to crash to the floor. Kong tosses Gail back in the ring and lays Gail out with a Forearm Smash. Kong chokes Gail with her boot and headbutts her into the corner. Kong hits a Scoop Slam and follows up with an Awesome Splash but Gail rolls out of the way and surprises Kong with an Octopus submission hold. Kong uses her strength to get out of it but Gail catches her with a rollup for a nearfall.

Kong gets back up and nails Gail with a clothesline. Kong chokes Gail in the corner again but Gail fights out with a series of elbow and then a Tornado DDT off the top. Gail goes to the top but as The Dollhouse look like they are going to attack she attacks them first. Gail hits a Plancha off the top onto The Dollhouse on the floor. Gail hits a series of shoulder blocks, forearms, and clotheslines on Kong and then she counters a Kong clothesline into a Neckbreaker. Jade distracts the referee. Rebel attacks Gail as the referee is distracted but The Beautiful People run out and attack The Dollhouse. Jade holds Gail as Kong goes for a Spinning Backfist, but Gail ducks and Kong stops herself from hitting Jade. Kong turns around into Eat Defeat and then Jade climbs up top but Gail tosses Jade off the top and onto Kong. Gail flips over Kong with a Jackknife as Hebner climbs back in the ring and gets the pin.

Match Rating: 3/5

WWE NXT

Bayley and Carmella vs Emma and Alexa Bliss

Bayley gets attacked and isolated in the heel corner before the commercial break. We come back to see Bayley trying to fight out, but Alexa cuts her off and taunts Carmella. Bayley lands an elbow, then goes after Emma with axehandles and a suplex. Dana Brooke distracts Bayley, as Emma capitalizes with an Emma Sandwich. Emma follows up with a double underhook suplex.

Carmella finally gets the tag and hits some bad looking Thesz presses, and a much better looking huracanrana. She drops Bliss with a Flatliner and transitions into her inverted triangle for the win.

Match Rating: 3/5

WWE SmackDown

Becky Lynch vs Alicia Fox

Match Rating: 2.5/5

WWE Total Divas

Season 5 premieres with, RELATIONSHIP DRAMA! Dolph Ziggler with a huge heel turn and tries to propose to Nikki Bella while she is already in a relationship with John Cena. She tells Cena about it and is kinda apathetic towards the whole thing. If I were him, I would be furious and hunt down Dolph. So how is Ziggler still a employee in WWE?

Meanwhile, Paige has her own problems with her fiance Kevin because she doesn't feel ready and doesn't want to marry. Brie also is having some issues regarding husband Daniel Bryan. Bryan wants to wrestle while Brie wants him to retire so that they can start a family. You know, I can understand why WWE doesn't want to clear him, and to a small extent, keeping the continuity in this show is somewhat important. Overall, not a great episode, but there has been worse.

Honestly, the whole premise of Total Divas was to showcase WWE's women and have a look at their lives outside the ring. What we have is bad reality television drama that is Kardashian-lite To be honest, I probably should have seen this coming. There are still some redeeming qualities in the show which, depending on who you ask, is enough to make the show watchable.

So there you have it, the breakdown for the week in women's wrestling. What were some of your favorite and least favorite moments from these women? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

MATCH OF THE WEEK: Gail Kim vs Awesome Kong (TNA Knockouts Championship Match: TNA Impact Wrestling)

WOMAN OF THE WEEK: Becky Lynch
