Betting Odds for WWE Hell in a Cell 2015

Posted by Guest Writer Wednesday, October 28, 2015
Just as with every other sporting event out there such as MMA and boxing, betting on who is going to win is a natural thing and WWE is no stranger to that. Despite the business being scripted, that doesn't stop odds-makers from attempting to gaze into their crystal balls and set up a structure based on who is more likely to win and who will pay off the best.

Looking at WWE's most recent event, Hell in a Cell, this is the breakdown of what the odds were going into the show:

Hell in a Cell Match: Brock Lesnar (-350) vs. The Undertaker (+250)

Hell in a Cell Match: Roman Reigns (-750) vs. Bray Wyatt (+450)

WWE Divas Championship Match: Charlotte (-600) vs. Nikki Bella (+400)

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match: Seth Rollins (-350) vs. Kane (+250)

WWE Tag Team Championship Match: Dudley Boyz (-210) vs. New Day (+160)

Intercontinental Title Match: Kevin Owens (-750) vs. Ryback (+450)

Dolph Ziggler & Cesaro & Neville (-215) vs. Rusev & Sheamus & King Barrett (+165)

To read what is above, the minus number is what you would have to bet to win $100 while on the other hand, the + number indicates the amount of money that you would win if you were to bet $100 on that wrestler.

If this seems far too crazy for you to follow and you prefer more traditional online gambling methods, something like our sponsor Royal Vegas Casino is more suited for you. Rather than trying to guess what twists and turns WWE's creative team has in store that could be impossible to predict, you can hit up the slots or try your hand at video poker, scratch cards, etc. Since Royal Vegas already has games built around Jurassic Park, The Dark Knight Rises and Game of Thrones along with football and other sports, wrestling may be the next outlet to tap into—just make sure to tell Irwin R. Schyster about your winnings.

On the other hand, if you're the type of person who thinks it's super easy to know what's coming with WWE, something like this isn't even necessary. Many of these results were obvious, such as how it was obvious that Charlotte would retain her title against Nikki Bella or that Roman Reigns would defeat Bray Wyatt.

Also, it's interesting to note that John Cena's United States Championship Open Challenge was not included in the betting odds, probably because the unknown factor of the mystery opponent was too difficult to put a number on.

As it stands, every favorite to win their respective match was able to win except for one, as The New Day defeated The Dudley Boyz in what could be said was an upset.

With Survivor Series coming up, it will be interesting to see what the betting odds end up being and if they are more or less accurate than what happened with Hell in a Cell.
