Welcome to another edition of Cheap Pop and Cheap Heat from Smark Out Moment!

Each week, we break down the world of professional wrestling and examine two of the polar opposite ends of the spectrum: one thing that was by far the worst thing (Cheap Heat) and the best thing (Cheap Pop) to happen over the past 7 days in sports entertainment. So, what went down this week that we loved and hated about the business?

CHEAP POP OF THE WEEK:
#AxelMania

Much in the same vein as the Honk-A-Meter, WWE is taking a character this has almost no credibility and making a fun couple of segments out of his illegitimacy to a throne. Curtis Axel has been boring for his entire career in WWE because he doesn't really have much of a character, but these past few weeks have been hilarious with him claiming that he's STILL in the Royal Rumble match and deserves his rightful spot in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania. Ryback also had some funny quips before giving Axel a beating. This was just a fun random segment in the middle of the show and I'll definitely be checking out what WWE does next week with #AxelMania.

CHEAP HEAT OF THE WEEK:
#GiveDivasaChance

Look, let's be frank here. The Divas match on this week's Monday Night Raw is not the fault of the Bella Twins, Paige or Emma. However, this #GiveDivasAChance movement going on Twitter right now is a bit ridiculous. The fact of the matter is that if you are talented enough, you can have an awesome 5 minute match just the same as an awesome 60 minute Iron Man match. If Shawn Michaels is the benchmark that we judge in-ring talent, he's proven that. The Divas on NXT have proven that they know how to wrestle and they have solid matches every single week. Some of those are only a few minutes long and some are a good chunk of time. Yes, the main roster seems to be a downgrade for women in WWE, but how often have the Divas been given a 10 or 15 minute match on pay-per-view and it's been terrible? This isn't just about the Divas getting more time in the ring, it's about booking AND talent. Some of these women are incredibly talented and some of them are just awful. I'm totally okay with watching Charlotte face Becky Lynch and Bayley and Sasha Banks on NXT TakeOver: Rival because it was awesome—but I don't want to see 20 minutes wasted on Cameron against Eva Marie or Rosa Mendes. It's the same situation as what would apply to the men on the roster. Should you give Cody Rhodes more of a chance? Yes. Does R-Truth deserve a shot at the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania? Absolutely not.

So there you have it, my two choices for the week. What do YOU think are the Cheap Pop and Cheap Heat this week in professional wrestling? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
