Smark Out Moment

Tonight, John Cena is set to take on Ryback. Expect to see this match play a part in the Team Cena vs. Team Authority Storyline.

The show opens with Cena making his way to the ring. He is greeted with boos and antagonistic chants from the raucous British crowd. Cena gets on the mic and says the Authority are making it very hard for him to form a team for Survivor Series. He announces that Jack Swagger will be on his team at Survivor Series. He then asks Ryback to come to the ring. Ryback makes his way to the ring. He gets on the mic and is immediately interrupted by The Authority. The come to the top of the ring and are accompanied by Mark Henry, signalling that he has joined Team Authority. Triple H gets on the mic and says that everything is on the line for The Authority at Survivor Series. He says that no one in their right mind would join Cena's team becaus eit would mean career suicide. He announces that Ziggler will face Mark Henry later tonight. Stephanie gets on the mic and says that if Ryback joins Team Authority, his career will skyrocket. John Cena responds with a noble appeal to Ryback against the Authority. Ryback says that he's not afraid of the Authority, but John Cena doesn't sign his paycheck. Ryback then delivers a big spinebuster to John Cena.

MATCH: Seth Rollins vs. Jack Swagger

Swagger locks in a side headlock. Rollins tries to fight back but is planted by Swagger. ROllins rolls out of the ring. Rollins gets back in and drives Swagger to the corner. Rollins goes for a suplex but Swagger reverses. Swagger hits a smapmare followed by a legdrops. He applies an armbar. Rollins fights back and hits a dropkick. Swagger fights back and tosses Rollins across the ring. Swagger goes for the Swagger bomb but Rollins rolls out of the ring once agin.

*Commercial Break*

The show returns with Rollins in control. Rollins hits a wristlock takedown into s rear chinlock. Swagger fights back and dumps Rollins to the outside. Back in the ring Swagger hits a huge clothesline followed by a big boot. Swagger hits a Swagger bomb for 2. Rollins rolls up Swagger for 2. Swagger applies the patriot lock. ROllins gets to the bottom rope. Rollins sends Swagger to the outside. Rollins follows. Swagger is distracted by Rollin's scurity and gets rammed off the ringpost. Back in the ring, Rollins hits the curbstomp for 3.

WINNER: Seth Rollins via Pinfall

Rollins delivers another curb stomp to Swagger after the match.

A recap from SmackDown plays of the encounter between Ambrose and Wyatt.

Ambrose cuts a promo on Bray Wyatt.

MATCH: Paige vs. Alicia Fox

Alicia takes Paige to the mat. She sends Paige to the apron and kicks her off with a big boot. Fox hits a suplex for a 2 count. Fox hits a back breaker for another 2. Fox goes for a slam but Paige reverses for 2. Paige hits the Rampage for the 3 count.

WINNER: Paige via Pinfall

Rusev and Lana are shown walking backstage. Stephanie confronts them and implores them to join The Authority.

Triple H and Stephanie are shown backstage talking about their anxieties toward the upcoming match at Survivor Series.

Lana and Rusev cut a pro Russia promo in the ring. It is interrupted by Sheamus.

MATCH: Rusev vs. Sheamus

They lock up and Sheamus is driven to the corner. Sheamus fights back and hits a knee to Rusev's head. Sheamus goes or the 10 beats but Rusev fights him off. Rusev is kicked off the apron. Outside the ring, Rusev fights back and slams Sheamus off the announce table. Back in the ring, the match goes back and forth. Sheamus goes for a Brogue kick but Rusev scouts it and rolls outside. Sheamus follows and takes it to Rusev. Rusev is rolled back in the ring as the ref begins his count. Sheamus is distracted by The Authority's security guards. The ref counts him out.

WINNER: Rusev via Countout

*Commercial Break*

MACTH: Dolph ZIggler vs. Mark Henry.

MArk Henry hits Ziggler with a chair. He is disqualified. After the match, Henry continues the beat down. Big Show coemes out and makes the save. Show announces he will be on Team Cena.

The show returns with Team Cena hanging out backstage. Sheamus shows up and joins Team Cena.

MATCH: Brie Bella vs. AJ Lee

Brie applies a side headlock. AJ fights out and hits an elbow for 1. Brie hits a knee to the midsection for 2. Brie drives AJ to the corner and stomps her to the mat. Brie picks up AJ for a slam. AJ reverses. Brie fights back and hits a missile dropkick. AJ fights back and applies the Black Widow for the submission.

WINNER: AJ Lee via Pinfall

Nikki attacks AJ after the match.

Ryback is shown backstage. He is confronted by Mark Henry.

MATCH: Adam Rose vs. Tyson Kidd

Rose sends kid to the mat with a shoulder block. Kid fights back with a kicks from the apron. He beats Rose into the corner. Eric Rowan shows up and makes his way to the ring. He looks at the camera and says "Shes not here". MEanwhile, Rose fights bakc and hits a big spinebuster. The Bunny tries to interefere. Adam Rose tells him to stop. Tyson Kidd takes advantage and applies the sharpshooter for the submission.

WINNER: Tyson Kidd via Submission

Ryback is shown backstage with the rest of Team Authority. Triple H tells Ryback to decimate John Cena tonight.

*Commercial Break*

MATCH: Ryback vs. John Cena

Ryback shoves Cena to the mat. Cena rolls out of the ring. Cena gets back in and Ryback hits a shoulder block. Cena gets Ryback up for the AA but Ryback fights out. Cena gains some momentum but gets slammed by Ryback. Ryback stomps Cena on the mat. Cena gets dumped outside the ring. Ryback follows and hits a big boot. Cena is thrown back in the ring. Ryback is distracted by Kane. Cena takes advantage and knocks Ryback off the apron and into Kane.

*Commercial Break*

The show returns with Ryback planting Cena for 2. Ryback hits a slam for another 2 count. Ryback hits a snapmare followed by a back kick for a 2 count. Cena fights back with a belly to belly. Ryback fights back with a Lou Thesz press for another 2 count. CRyback hits a gorilla press into a slam for another 2 count. Cena fights back but Ryback catches him with a powerbomb fir yet another 2 count. Cena locks in an stf. Ryback fights out. Ryback launches himself over the top rope and Cena applies the STF again. Ryback powers out. Cena is distracted by Kane. Kane is knocked off the apron. Ryback hits a spinebuster on Cena. Kane comes in and hits Cena.

WINNER: John Cena via Disqualification

After the match, Ryback and Kane go at it. Ryback is knocked out of the ring. Team Authority beats up Cena. Sheamus and Big Show come out but are taken out. Ryback comes back in and clears house.

After the showdown between Team Cena and Team Authority, Luke Harper brings the beat up body of Ziggler to Triple H and Stephanie. He tells them that he is a team player.


The road to Survivor Series heats up as both teams seam to be solidifying. While I don't understand the huge push Ryback is getting (again) I like how this story is bringing a bunch of under utilized mid carders to main event status. While there were plenty of corny moments on tonight's Raw, it made me at least kind of interested in Survivor Series if for no other reason than the push that guys like Ziggler and Rusev are recieving as part of this storyline.
