REVIEW:
Well, the first 2 hours of this episode were pretty awesome, but once again the 3rd hour proved to be the breeding ground of filler matches and irrelevancy. Kane and Roman Reigns put on a decent match to open things up. I was skeptical when they announced a last man standing match for Raw, but in my opinion, these two really delivered with a brutal back and forth battle. The only thing that hindered this match was both men's limited arsenal of moves. There's only so many time you can see flying clotheslines and reversed irish whips into the barricade before it gets old.
Ambrose and Del Rio probably put on the best match of the night. Del Rio catches a lot of heat from the IWC, but I think he is a decent worker and tonight proved that. As far as pure in-ring work goes, Del Rio can put on a solid match against just about anybody. I'm not saying that he puts on show stoppers, but at least he is consistent. Ambrose is easily the most talented all around wrestler among The Shield alumni. His whole character is spot on. From his mic work, to his move set, to the way he carries himself, Ambrose is completely engrossed in his character and doesn't seem to be playing a part at all. He reminds me of a mix between Steve Austin and Roddy Piper and I can definitely see big things for him in the future.
The contract signing between Brie Bella and Stephanie McMahon was surprisingly well done. While Bella's acting was a bit painful at times, it was cool how she stuck up for all the wrestlers that are consistently embarrassed by WWE. On a side note, despite what little kids on the internet might say, Triple H really has his finger on the pulse of the wrestling community. For a few weeks now he has cut promos that reference things that fanboys consistently complain about. His schtick about the network tonight was hilarious and very relevant. I used to yawn when the authority came out, but Triple H has been on fire on the mic lately and I hope he keeps it up.
