Wrestling Smack Talk: 12/31/2011

Posted by Anthony Mango Friday, December 30, 2011
What's been going on this week in the world of professional wrestling? It's time to break it down in the latest edition of SMACK TALK, my wrestling podcast and the quick notes below. Make sure to subscribe, comment on the videos and this post, and let us know your thoughts.

Watch each part of the WWE's BEST & WORST OF 2011 AWARDS below:
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6

  • No YouTube show this week. Instead, there's the video edition of the BEST AND WORST OF 2011 AWARDS. Check out part 1 below (once it's up).
  • Elijah Burke is going to be in the new Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises. Damn it, Nolan, I was already worried about the film and now you're involving TNA guys in it???
  • Randy Orton appears to have been injured and may miss WrestleMania. That really sucks for WWE as they've had a bunch of hits taken for WrestleMania so far. Orton, Christian, Mark Henry, both Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara...man...
  • Seems like Iron Sheik isn't going to be in the Legends House. That's a shame. I'm sure he could have made it completely fucked up.
  • Drew McIntyre has been switched over to Smackdown. Yeah, pointless move.
  • The latest and seemingly last of the 2012 videos was, again, basically a repeat of what we've seen before. They didn't try too hard on doing something different in these videos, did they? Might as well have just run the same one over and over.
  • Getting rid of Capitol Punishment (not a shock at all, I had "whatever replaces Capitol Punishment" on the WWE 2012 PPV Schedule list page immediately after Capitol Punishment ended) - but with Bragging Rights? ALL for it!
