Johnny Curtis wins NXT 4

Posted by Anthony Mango Tuesday, March 1, 2011

The winner of NXT season 4 is Johnny Curtis.

At first, I was pro-Curtis, but he started to level off for me, and then I expected him to get eliminated the past few weeks. He seemed to be overshadowed so much by Derrick Bateman, who had exhibited an even better camaraderie with his pro than Truth/Curtis, so I expected Bateman to win. Once he was eliminated, it became clear that the combination of Truth and Curtis being friendly to each other, neither having too much to do on their own, the tag title shot, Brodus not even having his pro around for weeks, and how Curtis needs the win much more than Brodus, all end up with the result that Curtis would win.
