For the fourth season of NXT (fourth...jeez lol), the first elimination is...Jacob Novak.
My take on the situation? Good. I'd rather have had Conor O'Brian leave, but Novak was my second least favorite of the bunch. During this episode, Ziggler won a battle royal with the opportunity to switch rookies and chose Byron Saxton to replace Novak. Novak then lost to Saxton in a match. After the elimination, Ziggler called himself a genius and said that Novak sucks. Gotta love Ziggler's performances lately. The fact that they did this switch seems a little odd to me, as if maybe they're planning on releasing Novak or Masters, but they may just have figured Saxton and Ziggler would work better with each other, and since Ziggler is a hotter commodity than Masters, it all works out in the end.
Another note of interest is that they've announced that the winner of this season doesn't get a title match of his choosing, but rather, a tag team title match with his pro. The first season, Wade Barrett got a WWE title match. The next was Kaval taking a step down the ladder with an IC title match. Now we're at the tag team titles. If there's a season 5, they'll be fighting for the defunct Lightweight championship haha.
Success! Lol |
