Kaval was definitely broadcast as one of the finalists early on, along with Riley and McGillicutty, so it doesn't shock me at all that they chose him to win. I like all three of these guys, so despite having personally preferred Alex Riley and despite thinking that McGillicutty needs the push a little more than Kaval (seeing as how Kaval is more over with the crowd than him right now), I'm still fine with their decision. All three of them should have spots in the WWE, along with Husky Harris and Percy Watson. Cottonwood, Cannon, and O'Neil proved once again tonight that there's no reason to keep them.
The only thing that's up in the air right now is the title shot. I can't see Kaval challenging any of the current champions, so who knows?
Tonight also gave us a sneak peak at "The End of NXT", more officially dubbed "NXT Season 3" wherein all the participants are divas. Translation: ratings will tank and NXT won't be renewed for another season haha. More to come on these particular people next week as I'll be giving my first impressions for each of them they showcase.
