Eli Cottonwood Eliminated from NXT

Posted by Anthony Mango Tuesday, July 27, 2010
The second NXT poll was released and the second person eliminated from the competition is ELI COTTONWOOD.

My take on the situation? Good. Cottonwood was an uninteresting character that wasn't good enough in the ring, nor on the mic, to last in the WWE anyway. Hopefully, they don't bring him back, as I think this has proven that he doesn't have what it takes even if they were to repackage him.

The poll, for those interested, went as follows:

1. Michael McGillicutty
2. Kaval
3. Alex Riley
4. Percy Watson
5. Lucky Cannon
6. Husky Harris
7. Eli Cottonwood

Overall, I'd agree with this list. Clearly, McGillicutty, Kaval, and Riley are the stars this season. Watson is ridiculous and I just can't take him seriously. Harris is apparently very well liked in the WWE. Why...I have no clue. He's not an abomination of crap, but I don't see "star" written on him. Lucky Cannon has no future at all. None. I've lost all faith in the guy. He's proven himself incapable on the mic and nothing to talk about in the ring. He has no charisma and he should, too, shouldn't be brought back after this season is over.

My guess for next week's elimination: Lucky Cannon, but only because the powers-that-be will want Harris to last an extra week. He'll be the next gone after Cannon.
