Smark Out Moment

The WWE NXT TakeOver: WarGames II pay-per-view is scheduled for November 17, 2018 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Follow along here for spoilers and information on the event's card, lineup of matches and news regarding the pay-per-view.

WWE NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2018 Los Angeles Spoilers and Predictions

WarGames Match: The Undisputed ERA vs. War Raiders, Pete Dunne and Ricochet

Well this is similar, but not quite, the match I was expecting. I had thought it would be War Raiders and Ricochet, British Strong Style and Cole/O'Reilly/Strong, as I didn't know Fish was ready to go. This match is better, in my mind. It keeps things leaner, and there's really no need to have Trent Seven and Tyler Bate in the mix if they're focusing more on NXT UK.

PREDICTION: The Undisputed ERA are victorious.


NXT Championship: Tommaso Ciampa (c) vs. Velveteen Dream

Very interested they're going in this direction, as I didn't think they would at all, or at least not until 2019. I'm down for it. Both guys are awesome, I'm happy if either of them is champion, the match should be great, it's something very different, and I have nothing bad to say about it. Major thumbs up!

PREDICTION: Tommaso Ciampa retains.


Aleister Black vs. Johnny Gargano

I had thought EC3 vs. Lars Sullivan would take place here, but they rushed that feud for NXT television episodes instead. Now that Gargano was revealed to be the attacker, this was obviously more of a guarantee. I don't know why they're going with this feud, but even though I think it's a mistake to turn Gargano heel, I'm willing to give NXT the benefit of the doubt. If this was the main roster, I'd be sure that it would be a mess. The match itself, by the way, should be great, given their previous work.

PREDICTION: Aleister Black wins.


NXT Women's Championship 2-Out-of-3 Falls Match: Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Kairi Sane

This was pretty much one of the only ways they could have done something for this event, as the tapings happened before Evolution and they couldn't spoil the title change. At least it's a gimmick match that will settle the score and end this feud, rather than trying to just do it for the fourth time in a regular match. It should be good, and Baszler should keep the belt and move on to someone else, but who that person will be is questionable as the only person who has been built up has been Bianca Belair, who is a heel. No idea what we're getting for Phoenix.

PREDICTION: Shayna Baszler retains the title.


Kassius Ohno vs. Matt Riddle

They're definitely setting up Ohno to be an opponent for Matt Riddle, but it could be a television feud instead of a match on this card.
