Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live present WWE Backlash 2018 Results

The pre-show isn't doing anything of value. Talking in circles, promoting the matches, and the same old stuff. Nothing that you're unaware of if you have paid attention.

Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel are approached by The Miz in the locker room. He says he's proud of them. He also suggests that they help him out tonight against Seth Rollins, but they don't want to be the supporting cast in his story anymore.

If you didn't think the whole Bayley and Sasha Banks thing was going to be a repeat of what we've done before, well, the locker room segment here was the two of them arguing where Bayley asks Sasha to be in her corner, Sasha says no, Bayley says she doesn't need her and blah blah blah.

Here is the scheduled card for the night:

Pre-Show Kickoff Match: Bayley vs. Ruby Riott

RESULT: Ruby Riott wins by pinfall
THOUGHTS: Same old match that we've seen a bunch of times. This is a Monday Night Raw segment and nothing more.

Intercontinental Championship Match: Seth Rollins (c) vs. The Miz

RESULT: Seth Rollins retains the title by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Really good match. I'm a fan.

Raw Women's Championship Match: Nia Jax (c) vs. Alexa Bliss

RESULT: Nia Jax retains the title by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Meh...this went on longer than it should have, to me.

United States Championship Match: Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Randy Orton

RESULT: Jeff Hardy retains the title by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Not bad, but nothing special.

Elias talks some trash about New Jersey and gets interrupted by The New Day, and then Rusev Day, and then No Way Jose (with Titus Worldwide and Breezango in the conga line) before Bobby Roode sneaks in and hits Elias with a Glorious DDT.

Big Cass vs. Daniel Bryan

RESULT: Bryan wins by submission.
THOUGHTS: Not too bad, but to be perfectly honest, I wasn't super into it the whole time and I'll forget about it by tomorrow.

SmackDown Women's Championship Match: Carmella (c) vs. Charlotte Flair

RESULT: Carmella retains her title by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Not too bad, but again, I'm not the most impressed. I'm glad Carmella got a clean pin, just for something different.

WWE Championship Match: AJ Styles (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

RESULT: Draw. Neither man answers the ten-count.
THOUGHTS: I'm not sure if I love this or hate it. It will depend on what happens later with this feud.

Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

RESULT: Strowman and Lashley win by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Snooooooze. Why was this on the card instead of something with some actual thought put into it?

Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe

RESULT: Roman Reigns wins by pinfall
THOUGHTS:Blah.
