Enzo Amore Suspended from WWE for Allegations of Sexual Assault

Posted by Anthony Mango Monday, January 22, 2018
As of January 22, 2018, Enzo Amore (Eric Arndt) has been suspended, seemingly indefinitely, after being accused of rape by Twitter user @MissGucciWitch.

Their official statement WWE has given out to news sources reads as follows:

"WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving sexual harassment or sexual assault. Until this matter is resolved, Eric Arndt (aka Enzo Amore) has been suspended."

My reaction: My idea on this is exactly the same as it always is, where if someone is guilty of any kind of legitimate sexual abuse, they're a horrible person and they deserve whatever punishment they get, but with the way things happen nowadays, there is always a chance that this is a fabrication and the accuser is making things up. Enzo does seem like the type of person that could have done something like this, just based off his mannerisms and everything that keeps coming out about him, but that doesn't mean he's 100% obviously guilty. If he isn't guilty, hopefully this gets cleared up as soon as possible and doesn't tarnish his reputation. If he is guilty, by all means, let him go. WWE did the right thing here suspending him until an investigation takes place because releasing him would be jumping the gun and doing nothing would be sending the wrong message. However, I'm suspicious. If you start looking at her Twitter account, you'll see lots of reasons why it's easy not to believe her story, but it's not my place to say one way or the other. We'll find out more in time.
