TakeOver of the Year = TakeOver: WarGames
Rivalry of the Year = Aleister Black vs. The Velveteen Dream
Male Competitor of the Year = Aleister Black
Breakout Star of the Year = Aleister Black
Female Competitor of the Year = Asuka
Match of the Year = Tyler Bate vs. Pete Dunne from TakeOver: Chicago
Overall Competitor of the Year = Asuka

NXT Tag Team Championship Match: The Undisputed Era (c) vs. The Authors of Pain

RESULTS: The Undisputed Era retain by pinfall with a quick roll-up after being destroyed the whole match.
THOUGHTS: This was pretty much the way I was hoping it would go. The Authors of Pain needed to look like the monsters they are, but it wouldn't make much sense to put the belts back on them, so this was a good call.

War Machine are in the crowd.

The Velveteen Dream vs. Kassius Ohno

RESULTS: The Velveteen Dream by pinfall
THOUGHTS: So much better than I had anticipated! The Velveteen Dream is the man.

NXT Women's Championship Match: Ember Moon (c) vs. Shayna Baszler

RESULTS: Ember Moon retains the title with a quick roll-up after struggling significantly.
THOUGHTS: Admittedly, this wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be. It felt kind of quick and simple, and bland.

Baszler attacks Moon after the match.

Ricochet is in the crowd.

Extreme Rules Match: Adam Cole vs. Aleister Black

RESULTS: Aleister Black by pinfall
THOUGHTS: Very solid match and a big step up from what came before it. Glad to see The Undisputed Era and SAnitY both interfere. OUCH for that spot with Cole landing on the chairs...

EC 3 (credited as such) is also in the crowd.

NXT Championship Match: Andrade "Cien" Almas (c) vs. Johnny Gargano

RESULTS: Andrade "Cien" Almas retains the title by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Disappointed that there wasn't an appearance by Tommaso Ciampa, but holy shit, this was amazing. This is currently the only match that I have added for Match of the Year in my notes. This was SO GOOD.

Nevermind! As Gargano is going up the ramp, he gets attacked from behind by Ciampa, who hits him with his crutch!
