Future Endeavors: Austin Aries Released from WWE

Posted by Anthony Mango Friday, July 7, 2017
As of 7/7/2017, Austin Aries has been released from World Wrestling Entertainment.

My reaction: WOAH, WHAT THE FUCK???? This came out of left field and I don't understand it at all. He's been out with an injury for just a little bit of time and he mentioned something about reassessing his career, but I didn't expect it to be a release, especially now that his wife (Thea Trinidad) just got a job with WWE. Does this mean he's more injured than expected and wants to take time off to heal, so they just released him, or does this mean that he wasn't happy with being part of the cruiserweight division? I'm really curious why this happened and I'm pissed about it, cause I wanted to see so many more matches with Aries against a wide variety of competitors. Hopefully, this is more of a temporary thing...
