Future Endeavors: Several NXT Superstars Released from WWE

Posted by Anthony Mango Tuesday, April 25, 2017
It was reported on 4/25/2017 that several talent from NXT have been released from World Wrestling Entertainment, including Chris Atkins, former Tough Enough winner Joshua "Josh" Bredl (also known as Bronson Matthews) and broadcast correspondent Andrea D'Marco.

My reaction: I have no idea who Chris Atkins is, so I can't weigh in on him. With Josh Bredl leaving, it's not much of a surprise, as he's been in developmental more than long enough that he should have been wrestling on NXT by now. Plus, they just allowed someone else to use the name Bronson and that's a bad sign. It's weird that Tough Enough never seems to produce any decent talent when it comes to the winners, isn't it? With Andrea D'Marco, I'm not too shocked, either. They haven't used her much over the past few months whereas Dasha Fuentes's stock kept rising and they hired both Kayla Braxton and Christy St. Cloud. When you start seeing other people being hired to do the same job you're not being given the responsibilities for anymore, you know your time is up. She was cute, though, so that's a shame.

UPDATE: There are now conflicting reports stating Josh Bredl has not actually been released from WWE and is still under contract. Considering this news coming out along with the complete lack of appearances from him, I wouldn't be surprised at all to find out that he actually is released but just hasn't completed his contract length. More on this when it's available.
