WWE Turn Alert: Dolph Ziggler Turns Heel on SmackDown 1/3/2017

Posted by Anthony Mango Tuesday, January 10, 2017
Dolph Ziggler teased a heel turn on the January 3, 2017 episode of SmackDown, but this was essentially confirmed on the January 10th edition as he attacked both Kalisto and Apollo Crews both weeks—this time with a steel chair.

My first reaction: I'm not opposed to it, but I'm also not supremely thrilled at the moment. It all depends on where WWE goes with this. The character of Dolph Ziggler as of late has been rather bland since he kept repeating the same exact promo about never giving up and overcoming obstacles, so I'm definitely on board for a change, but I think Ziggler tends to work better in the ring as a babyface. If WWE plans on really pushing him, then this is awesome, but if he's just going to be a heel who doesn't have a spot on the roster, I'd rather see him stay face.

What do you think of Dolph Ziggler turning heel? Are you a fan of it or is this a mistake? What direction do you think WWE will take with this character change?
