WWE NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III 2017 Spoilers and Predictions |
NXT Championship Match: Bobby Roode (c) vs. Drew McIntyre
So based off the most recent tapings, the feud between Roderick Strong and Bobby Roode isn't over, but Drew McIntyre gets a title shot even though he kind of put it on the line and didn't win. Huh? Why isn't this a Triple Threat? This is interesting, as I had thought Strong would take the title off Roode, but then McIntyre was next in line after it seemed like Strong wasn't getting as big of a push as I originally thought. So do they just have McIntyre win even though he hasn't had as much of a build as Strong, or does Strong somehow get into the title picture again and he wins, or does someone else entirely dethrone Roode in Houston?
PREDICTION: As of right now, I can't help but feel like Bobby Roode retains.
NXT Women's Championship Match: Asuka (c) vs. Ember Moon
Despite how they were teasing the idea that Ember Moon might not be able to wrestle for months, she was back in action on the NXT tapings for May 25th, just days after NXT TakeOver: Chicago. I'm more sold than ever that Asuka is dropping the title to Ember Moon here in Brooklyn and then Asuka will move up to the main roster afterward. That injury could have been bullshit. They could have realized that they wanted Moon to win at Brooklyn instead and didn't want to have her wrestle the match to lose momentum.
PREDICTION: Ember Moon wins the title.
NXT Tag Team Championship Match: The Authors of Pain (c) vs. SAnitY
Heavy Machinery failed to get the job done and SAnitY has stepped up to the challenge, making The Authors of Pain almost look like babyfaces now. Interesting. Very curious...
PREDICTION: The Authors of Pain retain, maybe. I really don't know. This one is really tough to call.
Hideo Itami vs. Aleister Black
Strange that this isn't Kassius Ohno, as he's the one who has actually been in a program with Hideo Itami. I guess WWE values Black more and they just wanted to toss this together for the hell of it. Should be pretty decent to watch, even if the feud is nonexistent.
PREDICTION: Black wins.
Johnny Gargano vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas
There isn't really any foundation for this match, but I'm down for it anyway. I think they'll put on a great performance and I'm actually pretty excited to see what these two do together.
PREDICTION: Andrade Almas wins, unless he goofs off too much and it costs him the victory.
