The pre-show had no matches scheduled, but with the small card and Randy Orton's injury, they definitely need to do something, and now that there's an Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin argument segment, they'll have a match. Aaaaand yep, that was just announced for the kickoff.

Heath Slater and Rhyno are in the social media lounge talking about their upcoming match.

Alexa Bliss is SO hot looking tonight. Wow. She looks like Harley Quinn, kind of. Big fan.

Apollo Crews vs. Baron Corbin

RESULTS: Baron Corbin via pinfall (End of Days)
THOUGHTS: Kind of hard to get into this, but it was fine for a pre-show throwaway match.

Who the hell is this Jagger Eaton kid?

Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan come to the ring to start the show.

SmackDown Women's Championship Six-Pack Challenge Elimination Match: Becky Lynch vs. Natalya vs. Naomi vs. Carmella vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Nikki Bella

Elimination #1: Alexa Bliss pinned by Naomi
Elimination #2: Naomi submits to the Sharpshooter
Elimination #3: Natalya pinned by Nikki Bella
Elimination #4: Nikki Bella pinned by Carmella (via roll-up)
Elimination #5: Carmella submits to Becky Lynch

RESULTS: Becky Lynch via submission
THOUGHTS: I wanted this to be so much better than it was, but the whole match was basically them tossing each other out of the ring after every other move.

The Miz knocks on Jagger Eaton's door (seriously, who is this kid?) He says he took The Miz's dressing room. Eaton asks if The Miz would want to be on his show, unless they can get John Cena instead.

Randy Orton gets jumped by Bray Wyatt backstage. There's your injury angle to excuse the match.

SmackDown Tag Team Championship Tournament Second Chance Match: The Usos vs. The Hype Bros

RESULTS: The Usos, as expected, although winning by submission was a surprise.
THOUGHTS: Meh.

Backstage, Renee Young talks to Rhyno and Heath Slater. Slater's feeling good, but when he thinks they're off air, he says his stomach is feeling weird and he's gone to the bathroom multiple times today, etc. "You've been Swerved!" He then almost shits himself. Renee leaves. Rhyno stands there.

Intercontinental Championship Match: The Miz (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

RESULTS: The Miz retains via pinfall after help from Maryse.
THOUGHTS: Good match. Good, but not great, as I was hoping it would be.

Bray Wyatt comes out for his match against Randy Orton. Greg Hamilton announces that Orton is not cleared to compete due to his injury. Wyatt insists on the 10-count forfeit victory to be instituted.

Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton

RESULTS: Bray Wyatt via forfeit.
THOUGHTS: Best match of the night.

Greg Hamilton then announces that Bray Wyatt will then have to compete in a No Holds Barred match against...

Bray Wyatt vs. Kane

RESULTS: Kane via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: This was alright for a replacement match. It might have even been more entertaining than what Orton and Wyatt had put on, but it's lame to see WWE didn't bother checking Orton out in advance and built toward a match that couldn't happen. That's a real lack of planning.

AJ Styles walks backstage and talks to two of the guys there: one of which is Brian Johnson, a buddy of mine. Congrats Brian! Check him out at Old Time Wrestling, everybody!

SmackDown Tag Team Championship Tournament Finals Match: The Usos vs. Heath Slater and Rhyno

RESULTS: Heath Slater and Rhyno win the titles!
THOUGHTS: I'm totally down for this. Slater's been one of the best things going in WWE right now, which is kind of sad to admit, but oh well. I do think we're getting new champions on Tuesday night, though.

WWE World Championship Match: Dean Ambrose (c) vs. AJ Styles

RESULTS: AJ Styles wins the championship after a low blow and Styles Clash.
THOUGHTS: Best match of the night.
