WWE Roadblock 2016 Results

WWE Tag Team Championship: The New Day (c) vs. The League of Nations

RESULTS: The New Day retains via pinfall (Big E pins King Barrett)
THOUGHTS: Not a bad match. I'm happy the titles didn't change hands, and it was somewhat refreshing to see two heel teams against each other.

Chris Jericho is coming out. He cuts a promo about how he's "the greatest icon in the history of [Canada]" and when people chant "we want Bret", he says "you're never getting him again." Jericho is ashamed to be Canadian. Classic heel heat. "Canada literally stinks and Toronto is the anus." Now the fans are chanting "asshole" so it makes perfect sense, right?

Chris Jericho vs. Jack Swagger

RESULTS: Chris Jericho via submission
THOUGHTS: These two work well together. I'd be up for seeing another match on the next episode of Raw to help fill in some space in the build to WrestleMania.

NXT Tag Team Championship: The Revival (c) vs. Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady

RESULTS: Dash and Dawson retain via pinfall (Enzo is pinned)
THOUGHTS: Good match, but the same basic thing we saw at the last NXT TakeOver. Enzo, Cass and Carmella all looked even better than normal and I hope this is a sign that they're coming up to the main roster, but I still just don't see what WWE thinks is so great about The Revival.

Divas Championship: Charlotte (c) vs. Natalya

RESULTS: Charlotte retains via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Good match. I don't think it was as good as their previous encounter, if I remember correctly, but it was more enjoyable than I thought it would be.

Brock Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper

RESULTS: Brock Lesnar defeated Luke Harper, as Bray didn't get involved in the slightest bit.
THOUGHTS: Kind of lame to advertise the match as something else and then not do it and replace it with a squash that doesn't even involve Bray. Also, this means the two of them aren't done yet, and I don't want to see them face each other at WrestleMania or anything like that, so I hope this doesn't turn out to be something that annoys me later on.

Sami Zayn vs. Stardust

RESULTS: Sami Zayn wins via pinfall
THOUGHTS: Good midcard match and a good showing for Zayn overall

WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Triple H (c) vs. Dean Ambrose

RESULTS: Triple H retains via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Damn good match! Best of the night by far. Dean Ambrose proves yet again that he needs to get the title at some point in 2016.
