WWE Fastlane 2016 Results

The panel for tonight's pay-per-view is Renee Young, Booker T, Jerry Lawler and Corey Graves.

United States Championship 2-Out-of-3-Falls Match: Kalisto (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio

The first fall goes to Kalisto as Del Rio is disqualified for using a chair.
The second fall goes to Del Rio after he pins Kalisto.
The third and final fall goes to Kalisto via pinfall after a roll-up.

RESULTS: Kalisto retains the championship.
THOUGHTS: Decent. Nothing special. If this is the best the event has to offer, it'll be disappointing, but if it's the worst, then it should be good.

Sasha Banks & Becky Lynch vs. Naomi & Tamina Snuka

RESULTS: Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch via submission.
THOUGHTS: As expected, this was a Monday Night Raw caliber match with a predictable outcome. It wasn't a bad match, but considering this is a pay-per-view, it's supposed to be more than this. That is going to be a recurring theme of my thoughts for this event, I'm sure.

Intercontinental Championship: Kevin Owens (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

RESULTS: Kevin Owens retains via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Good match. Ultimately forgettable, but these two are good in the ring and if this was the first time I saw them face off, I'd have really enjoyed it.

Big Show, Ryback and Kane talk backstage about how they're big and they'll send The Wyatt Family a message about...well...basically that they're tough guys.

The Wyatt Family vs. Big Show, Ryback and Kane

RESULTS: Big Show, Kane and Ryback via pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Surprised at the outcome. The quality of the match itself? Raw.

Divas Championship: Charlotte (c) vs. Brie Bella

RESULTS: Charlotte retains via submission.
THOUGHTS: Better than I expected.

AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho

RESULTS: AJ Styles via submission.
THOUGHTS: Rock solid, as expected. They have good chemistry together.

After the match, Jericho extends a hand to Styles, who shakes it in a return exchange of respect.

The Cutting Edge Peep Show with The New Day

So glad Tony Chimel did the announcement for this. New Day said booty a bunch. The League of Nations came out to do nothing. Then everyone left.

The Social Outcasts come out and do nothing, really. R-Truth is now coming out. Ugh...

R-Truth vs. Curtis Axel

RESULTS: Curtis Axel via pinfall after Goldust inadvertently caused a distraction while trying to help.
THOUGHTS: I don't care!!!!!!!! Stop wasting my time!

#1 Contender's Match Triple Threat Match: Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose

RESULTS: Roman Reigns via pinfall on Dean Ambrose.
THOUGHTS: Thank GOD The Wyatt Family didn't interfere. The outcome was predictable as all hell, but the match was fun.

HIGH SPOTS

+ AJ Styles vs Chris Jericho
+ Charlotte vs Brie Bella
+ Kevin Owens vs Dolph Ziggler

LOW BLOWS

- R-Truth vs Curtis Axel
- The Cutting Edge Peep Show
- Predictability and Raw-caliber quality

CRITIQUE RATING SCALE: 2-COUNT NEAR-FALL (okay)

Reasoning: This was a good episode of Monday Night Raw.
