My reaction: If that was the sole reason for WWE releasing him, I'd be annoyed. That would be such a stupid overreaction. However, Maddox has been on the chopping block for a long time. It's been a long time since we've seen him in any capacity after his stint as Raw general manager. Recently, he's been trying some different gimmicks on house shows and none of them must have stood out as worth the while. Beef Mode went nowhere, Joshua Kingsley went nowhere, and now his newest iteration of a tag team with Adam Rose where they were apparently emo bodybuilders or something (sounds kind of lame) clearly didn't wow people enough to give him a spot on television. Maddox was kind of interesting and I wanted to see him succeed, but this has been a long time coming.
