WWE Battleground 2015 Spoilers

WWE Battleground 2015 World Heavyweight Championship Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar

[WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match]: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Brock Lesnar

I'm very surprised WWE is doing this at Battleground instead of SummerSlam. Does that mean Lesnar defeats Rollins and heads into the bigger event as champion, or that Rollins will defend the title against Triple H at SummerSlam? This is a tough one, but I think Rollins is going to retain somehow with some interference or something to make it not a 100% clean win.

PREDICTION: Seth Rollins retains.

WWE Battleground 2015 PPV Roman Reigns vs Bray Wyatt

Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt cost Roman Reigns the Money in the Bank, so this match was inevitable. Thankfully, they've given more meaning to this feud over the past few weeks. I really hope this doesn't just become some standard match that sets up a rematch at SummerSlam, because that happened last time with Chris Jericho and Bray Wyatt and it hurt the feud for the bigger pay-per-view, but I've enjoyed this enough so far that I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Rumor has it Sting will return and interfere in a way that leads to a Bray Wyatt match, but there are also rumors that Luke Harper could return to cost the match for Reigns. Might that end up turning into Roman Reigns teaming with Sting to face Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper at SummerSlam? Of course, it's extremely suspicious that Dean Ambrose isn't booked on this card...

PREDICTION: Roman Reigns wins, unless Ambrose is the one to interfere, in which case Wyatt wins.

WWE Battleground 2015 Intercontinental Championship Triple Threat Match

[WWE Intercontinental Championship Match]: Ryback (c) vs. Big Show vs. The Miz

Since a triple threat did not take place at Money in the Bank and instead, that match ended up being nothing but a stall to set this up, this was obviously going to happen here at Battleground. I'm really hoping that there isn't another stall to result in a rematch of sorts at SummerSlam, since nobody will care at that point. Ryback needs to simply win the match here and move on to something else.

UPDATE: Ryback's injured and this match isn't happening, or at least it's going to be something else.

PREDICTION: We'll see what they change it to.

WWE Battleground 2015 Tag Team Championship Match

[WWE Tag Team Championship Match]: The Prime Time Players (c) vs. The New Day

I really want The New Day to win the titles back and I'm not sure why WWE decided to change the champions to begin with. The Prime Time Players can't really be going into SummerSlam as champs, can they? Who would they face? The New Day probably isn't going to come out on top, but I want them to.

PREDICTION: The Prime Time Players retain.

WWE Battleground 2015 Kevin Owens vs John Cena US Title Match

[WWE United States Championship Match]: John Cena (c) vs. Kevin Owens

With the United States Championship on the line here, that makes me nervous about what will happen. I want Kevin Owens to come out on top, but I also want John Cena to retain the title, as I think he's doing very well with it. This is tough. One way or another, I'll be looking forward to this match, since their previous two have been amazing. My gut is telling me that John Cena is just going to retain and that'll be the end of it, but my heart wants Owens as the champion.

PREDICTION: John Cena wins...I hope I'm wrong...

WWE Battleground 2015 Event Sheamus vs Randy Orton singles match

Sheamus vs. Randy Orton

Randy Orton needs to lose this to help make Sheamus look worthy of the Money in the Bank briefcase. Is that going to do the trick? Not entirely. Am I going to care about this match? Not at all. I've never been a fan of Sheamus and I really hate the idea that he has a future title shot waiting for him, and on top of this, I've seen this match happen enough that I don't have any interest in it. It isn't even as though Randy Orton is someone I like to see work with anyone, similar to Dolph Ziggler. Orton himself can drag down a match and while facing Sheamus, I expect this to be nothing but a bore that I struggle to pay attention to.

PREDICTION: Sheamus wins.

WWE Battleground 2015 Battle for the Crown Kickoff Match

[Kickoff Pre-Show "Battle for the Crown" Match]: King Barrett vs. R-Truth

This feud's been more entertaining than I thought it would be, but it's about time it ended, and it needs to end the proper way with King Barrett coming out on top. For some reason, WWE has this tendency to give someone a title or championship of some kind and then job them out and forget about them and Barrett's been treated like that ever since winning King of the Ring. R-Truth has been kind of making a mockery out of it and Barrett looks weaker than he did leading up to the tournament, which is a shame. Barrett deserves better and he needs to not only win this match, but also continue to win halfway decent and important matches following Battleground. He can't just be a non-entity at SummerSlam and if he loses here, forget about him having a push.

PREDICTION: King Barrett wins.

PREDICTED MATCHES (as of 7/16/2015)

Team Bella (Nikki Bella, Brie Bella & Alicia Fox) vs. Team Babyface (Paige, Becky Lynch & Charlotte) vs. Team Tweener/Heel (Naomi, Tamina Snuka & Sasha Banks)

WWE hasn't officially announced anything, but after bringing up Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch and setting up these three different teams, this looks to be pretty much a guarantee. How awesome is it that 3 of the best women in the company are now on the main roster like that? This has a lot of potential to finally be an interesting match after so much of the divas division has been floundering for the past few months. If this is a triple threat with the three teams involved, I'd lean toward the babyfaces winning by pinning someone on Naomi's team.

PREDICTION: No matter who wins, the NXT divas are getting the focus. Finally.

Stardust vs. Neville

This is a potential replacement for the Intercontinental Championship match.

PREDICTION: Neville wins.

Rusev vs. Cesaro

This is a potential replacement for the Intercontinental Championship match.

PREDICTION: Rusev wins.

Notable people not accounted for at the moment: Dean Ambrose, Kane, Dolph Ziggler
