WWE Hell in a Cell 2013 Spoilers |
WWE Championship [Hell in a Cell Match]: Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton (with special guest referee Shawn Michaels)
This should definitely be the end of the feud between these two and I would think the most likely option of where to go from here is for Randy Orton to defend the title against Big Show at Survivor Series, while Daniel Bryan is the captain of an elimination match. With Shawn Michaels being the special guest referee, he'll definitely come into play somewhere. My guess is that HBK will go to superkick Randy Orton, but he'll end up kicking Bryan instead. That is, of course, unless they decide to go with Triple H bullying HBK into just doing what he wants.
As far as the match quality, I'm expecting it to be better than the Battleground one, if not the best match of their program together. However, don't be surprised if there aren't any big spots in it. In fact, I would be surprised if the cell came into play AT ALL. WWE has toned down the Hell in a Cell match to the point where it almost doesn't even exist, so this is unlikely to be a super hardcore brutal match.
PREDICTION: Randy Orton wins.
World Heavyweight Championship: Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. John Cena
Well, I guess John Cena's winning the title and we're getting a rematch at Survivor Series, as WWE will refuse to have Del Rio not involved in that, since he's been in every match for the past 50 years. I don't quite know where they're going with for this one as far as WrestleMania, as I had expected Cena vs HHH. I hope that match isn't for the title. They should be giving other people a chance. I don't know...but if we stop having Del Rio as the champ or challenger, I'm fine with another Cena title reign (so long as it doesn't fuck WrestleMania up).
PREDICTION: John Cena wins.
Hell in a Cell Match: CM Punk vs. Ryback & Paul Heyman
My God, this feud has been on repeat mode for such a long time. Absolutely nothing outside of Punk vs Lesnar has been good or mattered. Now, we're getting a repeat of a match we had at last year's Hell in a Cell on top of making it a rematch of Battleground AND because of the handicap stipulation, it's a rematch of Punk vs Curtis Axel & Paul Heyman. WWE clearly does not want to put any effort into this, which is a shame. I can't wait for this to be over with. PLEASE let this be the last match for the Punk and Heyman feud!
PREDICTION: CM Punk wins.
Divas Championship: AJ Lee (c) vs. Brie Bella
AJ only retained by the skin of her teeth at Battleground. A rematch seems natural. Brie Bella has a huge shot at winning the title here. AJ could still retain, though. Nothing is set in stone. However, if reports are true that WWE is confused about why people haven't taken to Brie as a top babyface yet, the winner of this match will showcase WWE's mentality to responding to these things. If Brie wins, that's their attempt at TELLING us to cheer for her, as they've done with John Cena in the past. If AJ retains, that means WWE is hesitant to trust that Brie is the right person to go with.
PREDICTION: Brie Bella wins and WWE hopes that we care.
Intercontinental Championship [Pre-Show Kickoff]: Curtis Axel (c) vs. Big E Langston
Big E has a new face turn which should theoretically rejuvenate his career. Likewise, Curtis Axel has been ignored because he isn't actually that good and Ryback is much more important in the grand scheme of things. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Langston's push start really forming here.
PREDICTION: Big E Langston wins the Intercontinental Championship.
Tag Team Championship: Cody Rhodes & Goldust (c) vs. The Shield vs. The Usos
I like where they're going with this. The Usos were the #1 contenders, so it makes perfect sense why they'd incorporate them. Way to keep up continuity! I'm surprised and I commend them on it. This spices things up a little bit. This should be a really good match, so I'm looking forward to it.
PREDICTION: Cody Rhodes and Goldust retain.
Los Matadores vs. Real Americans
I'm surprised that they went with this match added on the card instead of something involving The Miz or Dean Ambrose. But hey, I guess this is supposed to be filler and an attempt to get Los Matadores over quicker with the audience. Maybe they'll succeed, maybe they won't. I guess we'll have to wait to find out. The quality of this match should be no different than what we would see on Monday Night Raw, so it will be a bit of a let down to anyone expecting it to be worthy of a pay-per-view slot.
PREDICTION: Los Matadores win.
PREDICTED MATCHES
Seeing as how the card isn't finalized yet, let's take a look at some of the potential matches that seem as though WWE will be adding...
Big Show will have some kind of presence, as will Dolph Ziggler, but to what capacity is still unknown. If The Miz has a match, it will be against Bray Wyatt, but they could just as easily ignore it on this event because of Wyatt's injury and the fact that it doesn't really matter all that much.
