WWE TLC 2012 Spoilers |
Six Man Tag Team TLC Match: Ryback & Team Hell No vs. The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns)
I'm a little disappointed at the change here, but at the same time, I'm a little relieved as well. I didn't want to see them just have The Shield cost Ryback the title against CM Punk, but he certainly wouldn't have won it from him, so at least this gives us a match that makes some sense. They still have to be careful about how they book this, though. Does the Shield take a loss as a result of Ryback getting his revenge or are they able to pick on Kane or Daniel Bryan and get a victory there? Does the Miz or perhaps even Randy Orton have a say in this after being attacked by the Shield on Raw?
PREDICTION: Right now, I'd have to say The Shield loses with Ryback pinning Seth Rollins.
World Heavyweight Championship [Chairs Match]: Big Show (c) vs. Sheamus
I've gone on record before and I'll continue to think the same way about chairs matches - it's a stupid concept. As much as I dislike the idea of the TLC match being it's own name because it's JUST a ladder match, even more, I hate the idea of a chairs match because it's just so incredibly dumb. Chairs have lost pretty much all of their interest for me once they banned head shots and such. It's too choreographed now. I hope they prove me wrong and this is a good match but I honestly think it'll be the worst out of the matches these two have had together.
PREDICTION: I'm about 50/50 on this. I can see either guy walking out with the title. It depends mostly on what they want to happen at WrestleMania, and this match will be a good indicator of how things will go. If Big Show retains, he might be going into Mania as the champ. If Sheamus wins it back, he's DEFINITELY going into WM 29 as the champion.
Money in the Bank Ladder Match: John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler
I can see why they're doing this, but if they decided to have this be a ladder match, why not do the WWE Championship match as just a tables match? This whole pay-per-view has consistently been stupid over the years, so I can't say I'm surprised, and I really wish they would change this for King of the Ring or something else better than that. How about this - how about the King of the Ring winner gets the #30 spot in the Royal Rumble? Make sense? Ok, moving on. This match should be good, but it has the potential to be booked really terribly. I just want this feud to end when it comes to Vickie, Cena, and AJ. Dolph's done nothing wrong in it as far as I'm concerned, so hopefully he comes out here looking good instead of being buried.
PREDICTION: Dolph Ziggler retains the briefcase.
Intercontinental Championship: Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Wade Barrett
It's too early to take the championship away from Kofi Kingston if they're determined on making this mean something. Because of that, I'm expecting an "out of nowhere" Trouble in Paradise kick to win the match for Kofi and this feud to continue. The match should be quite good and there's a chance it could be the sleeper match of the night.
PREDICTION: Kofi Kingston squeaks out a victory.
United States Championship: Antonio Cesaro (c) vs. R-Truth
Nobody should be surprised that this match is on the card. It should be filler and nothing more than that. It almost could have even been the pre-show but I'd much rather have a match like this on the card than another promo or something. Look for Cesaro to shine and R-Truth to take the fall.
PREDICTION: Antonio Cesaro retains.
YouTube Pre-Show Divas Battle Royal #1 Contender's Match: Aksana vs. Tamina Snuka vs. Natalya vs. AJ Lee vs. Kaitlyn vs. Rosa Mendes vs. Alicia Fox
So does AJ win now or does Kaitlyn win just to lose to Eve Torres? It's one or the other, and my guess is the match will be absolutely terrible.
PREDICTION: Kaitlyn wins after Tamina eliminates AJ and Kaitlyn tosses Tamina out.
#1 Contender's Tag Team Tables Match: Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara vs. Team Rhodes Scholars
I still think Orton and Miz should be with Ryback instead of Hell No and this should be a triple threat match for the titles, but this is what we have instead. Since Bryan and Kane are pretty much totally solid faces now, Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow make sense to win this match. Why is this a tables match, anyway? Who the fuck knows. This pay-per-view is always booked like they threw darts at a board that was also mislabeled.
PREDICTION: Rhodes Scholars wins, then they win the tag team championship.
